What sort of restaurants do you guys like going to?

i'm all about good restaurants

i'd rather spend my money going out to eat then on drinks at a bar or something.

as far as what type of restaurants that i like, i like all types of food. i have found that zagat's guide is usually right on the money when it comes to good food and good service.

my favorite types: barbeque-type food (ribs, steak, chicken); italian (good sauce a must); and seafood (especially buffet-style).

i went to this one seafood buffet ($42/person!) that was the best i've ever had. there was unlimited lobster, alaskan king crab, jumbo shrimp, custom pasta with anything you want in it (i had lobster ravioli), sea bass, other fish dishes, and great deserts. what an experience. i felt full for a day!

Italian restaurants (Olive Garden, even the local family run pizza/stromboli shop is fine)

Steak Houses like Hoss's where I can get a burger if I want or seafood if I'm hungry for it

There are some nice mexican places, like a place called La Rodeo is a nice place to go with a date

There is a restaurant in my town called "Gingerbread Man" that has anything you want to order, that can be either a nice place to have fun with friends or to go with a particular lady friend one night

I love Olive Garden, by far my favorite place to eat but I have to drive 30 mins to eat there so I don't get that very often. But around here, the southern food, buffet style, is the best. You can't beat a buffet full of fried chicken, meatloaf, roast, ham, rice and gravy, veggies, mashed potatoes, biscuits (especially cheese biscuits), cornbread, etc, etc, etc....Not to mention desserts like apple pie, cheesecake, strawberry shortcake..... :thumb:
Southern food has to be some of the best food on Earth, and I'm glad I'm from the south so I get to eat it any time I want to. :)
