If you were walking down the street and a dude came up to you and said he had a gun and wanted you to give him your wallet and cell phone, would you give it to him or ask to see the gun?

I ask because almost every week, a student from my school gets robbed by someone who says he has a gun but doesn't show it. That to me just seems like an easy way to get a naive kid to give you money.

I wouldn't ask to see the gun I think. You're right that it's an easy way, but on the other hand, the risk you're taking if he does have a gun should be considered. I'd rather not get shot, and a cell-phone isn't a large expense. In fact, if I told my parents I got robbed they would probably give me a new cell.

I don't mean to be nit picky :cheesy: but a $500 phone that one may have isn't a small expense. But, I mean, better than getting shot, of course.

I'm just saying, it's a sucky position to be in. Of course, everybody would advise you to abide by what the man says because risking your life isn't worth it. But deep inside, there's that thing about really hating somebody hustling you. I mean, if I was in that situation and handed over my shit, I wouldn't think "wow, glad i'm alive", I'd think "fuck I can't believe I gave the dude my wallet and cell phone".

Had that happened to my friend. Except it wasn't a robbery at gun point. She got pulled over for use of cell phone and she managed to hide it. She tried to make the officer believe that she didn't own a phone when the phone rang.
