i have heard several tales of this song and it's origin. that tupac handed the master over to kmel and that amaru doesnt have a copy. are there hard proof backing up both these thought-to-be facts, or have we just kinda assumed it?

I don't know about the old "stolen master" theory. We know for fact that changes were made to songs, maybe Pac's last line on verse one is one of those changes made

I know amuru had to change as long as she loves me with Unconditional love. I like the change in a way ... nothing was takin away from the song with the small changes they had to do to cover the tags.

I hurd they recorded it from the radio and used it 4 GH.. I could be wrong . Mc hammers version is complete.

I remember Dante talking about this track before. I guess Power 106 (of L.A.) was one group that had a hold of the original, unedited song, hence the "Power 106" tags that appeared on the bootlegged track. I suppose Amaru Records didn't have either the master or the same unedited duplicate that Power 106 had, so their decisionmakers chose to just use the best quality version within reach (a good radio rip of the song) and remove the tags through cutting-and-pasting. I think Dante also once said that he knows who has the actual master or DAT tape...

yeah, if i remember correctly dante said that there was quite a bit of cussing at the outro of this track. ...but what do I know, I just lurk.

that's kind of a weird direction to take a song like that in. but i guess it depends on the curse words and the context in which they where said.
pac's outros were never scripted

Yeah it's really too bad that this track was never released in CDQ. They shoulda put off the release until they obtained the dat. It definitely could have been a single for any upcoming albums.

Well, the way these tracks have been going after the GH album, it would've been remixed to shit.
