Unappreciative

We are too unappreciative of Pac's music. I remember last year I would be bumpin something like Lastonesleft and thinking that I would fuckin KILL for the OG... and now that it's leaked it's just another track on my playlist. Now I'm just hoping for different OGs to leak instead of being thankful for what I was begging for a year ago.

Post your thoughts.

yep. exactly.

for 90% of the people who collect og's it's like baseball cards, yu gi oh or a fucking easter egg hunt. they bitch and moan talking for weeks how they're entitled to hear every og, yet once a few new ones fall on their lap they never post about their impressions of the new track, and probably never play it after the initial erection has subsided. after years doing this, it's too often the case that people are on a never ending mp3 quest to make their 2pac mp3 folder grow in files and size, so when someone asks to compare their mp3 penises one's on top. it would be better to own less and know it better, than to have sat idle on the board steady downloading so that you have more but at the end of the day know less or have done less to contribute.

we're not entitled to shit but retail releases (that we buy). i've always thought it was high time people start appreciating what a very few number of people have let fans hear, and being that the number is pretty fucking big, showing a little gratitude and insight for and of these tracks.

i remember when pass the 40 first leaked from a du affiliate's scratched copy of raw fusion's greatest hits... that was a track we had known of since 1995, but it only finally hit many many years later. just because the track wasn't pure 320kbps mp3 cdq people shit all over it and acted like it never happened. same with virtually any non-cdq newly leaked song. it's fuckin' amazing.

I gotta say that's definitely true. It seems like when a new song hits, people are all excited and thrilled they got something new...for like 2 days. Then it's back to pissing and moaning about how no one ever leaks the good stuff. What the fuck, you just got something new 2 minutes ago, now you want more? It's like the little kid who can never get enough toys. Be happy for what you have people, if it wasn't for the select few who allowed us to hear what we do have, we would have nothing, so be thankful we have anything at all instead of bitching about petty shit like quality of tracks, and that so and so has these tracks but won't share them

I don't think so, Diaz, those songs leaked on that winter madness - are not just 'other' tracks. I remember Dante's list of unconfirmed originals, and those High Speed OG, Last Nigga Left OG and U Can Be Touched (only clip available) make me appreciate what I have now, cause I might never heard them songs. And still they stay kinda apart of the collection. Yes they will no doubt become 'other' originals, but for me it's still a treasure to cherish...

whats so special about last one left and high speed og
If you dont like the track, at least be thankful you know what it sounds like, I would always listen to Fuck Em All and LastOnesLeft and imagine what the OG would sound like, not knowing I was basically listening to the OG lol.

Yeah. We are unappreciative. We have to think that Pac worked to death (3 songs a day) just for us to complain about not getting more og's we haven't heard yet.

What about the og's we've been priveledged to hear and actually liked? Some people don't even want to pay for it if it's released officially, they instead only want songs they haven't heard.

If you like the song = pay for it. (Especially if it's released officially in og format).

Alot of fans who don't visit this board have not heard many of these og's that we take for granted. They deserve to be able to hear them officially as we've heard them through downloading.

So i would hope the 2006 album contains some of these og's because i want to be able to pay for the one's i enjoy.

THATS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT EVER SINCE FOR A LONG TIME; PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS O HUNGRY AND JUST CANT GET SATISFIED WITH WHAT THEY HAVE, IF I COULD REGULATE IT I WOULDN RELEASE ANYMORE OG#s FOR THE NEXT SOME TIME BUT SAVE EM BETTER FOR SOMEWHERE ELSE -----TOO MANY SONGS AND OGS GET LEAKED NOWADAYS; SO PEOPLE KEEP FORGET TO CHERISH EVERY SINGLE OF THEM1 THATS NOT HOW ITS SUPPOSED TO BE

By these posts you can clearly see who's a real collector (colloctor as in such who do the "legwork" as dante said, actually buy stuff and take the whole shit serious) and who's a forum kiddie who doesn't know a shit about all the things that happen behind a simple leak. I appreciate all them songs (eventhough some are similar to the retail versions) because i know what serious stuff goes on behind the scenes. Before i become a collector i was like everyone else "why dont leak stuff? whats the clue bout keeping something while tupac wanted his music to hear" and those other common arguments from those mp3 leechers. But i tell you something, once you're part of such an action about unleaked songs im pretty sure you will change your mind. just imo

Well I'm not a collector, just a fan. But I'm not one of the "forum kiddies" you refer to. The way I see it, if shit leaks, then it leaks, if it doesn't oh well. But some people are obsessed with having everything, if Pac farted on a track they have to have it. Unfortunately, most of those people aren't willing to pay, they want it all for free, regardless of what other people had to pay to get them. They seem to feel that they are entitled to hear them, because "Pac would have wanted it that way." Well who are they to say what Pac wanted? I don't think he wanted people to get all his songs for free, he was in the rap business to get paid, not to give his shit away for nothing.

I think the tracks that leaked earlier this year are some of the dopest i've ever heard.

Just Watchin', Tongue Kissin', Don't Stop The Music, My Own Style, Where Will I Be... these are DOPE!!!!! I still remember the first time i heard them.

High Speed, Last Ones Left, out On Bail, U Can Be Touched, dont you trust me are all gems!

I like the whole OG-Vibe concept, that's one thing we didint have a year ago. Komradez, NIGGA, Crooked Nigga Too, Hennessey, Black Cotton, better Dayz, Letter 2 My Unborn.....a year ago we didn't know what half these songs were or we only had acapella clips etc. Now that we have acapellas and clips of the instrumentals we can re-construct the whole song..this is fucking amazing! Props to everyone who has put their time, effort, and money into doing something to please us greedy motherfuckers here at hitemup.com!!!!!!

I honestly play my og's just as much if not more then the retail albums. No, I DEFINATLY play the og's more.

"U Can Be Touched" og is probably one of my most played Pac songs ever. I remember the day it got leaked, I musta played it at least 40 times straight and its still getting regular rotation today.

This thread could be really great, if it wasn't specifically about OG's. Personally, I think we're too appreciative of Tupac's music. I mean, I made a thread about how much fans listen to his music, and most said every day. Most said, "every day for 5-6+ years now."
