It's seriously fucking me off.
Town centres are shut. Old Bill everywhere. My mum works up the city and is commuting, hopefully won't get caught up in it. But knowing British Rail all the trains will stop and she'll be stranded.
Started in the predominantly black areas, which if I am honest, I couldn't really give a fuck about. If they want to smash up Tottenham, go ahead, you have to live there. Same applies to Hackney or any other shit hole. But now they seem to have realised they can loot nicer shops in nicer areas. SO are moving closer to me... Now I am really pissed off. I was annoyed before, because it isn't politically motivated and is all about stealing. But the closer it gets to me the more annoyed I am.
Did anyone else see them robbing people in the street, even for their clothes?

Basically, an alleged gangstar, apparently shot at police when they were trying to arrest him. Police returned fire and killed him. But this is all press reports, the family says different. The Police haven't actually commented.
300 of the people on his estate (read Ghetto slum, shit hole) went to a police station to protest. Started getting out of hand, things set on fire and smashed up. Allegedly, Again, started when the police went heavy handed on a young girl.
People started looting. Opportunists saw the free stuff. More robbing and arson everywhere. All the scum are joining in now, and we need to shoot some of the cunts to regain order. But Britain doesn't like to involve the army, water canons or rubber bullets. I personally would like to see them smashed the fuck up.

You know, smashing stores and looting them is one thing, but once you start burning down peoples houses, or robbing innocent people (to the point where you're taking the clothes on their bodies?!) it becomes a whole different thing. I'd understand if this was against some great social injustice and people rioting for political change (which might have some initial influence on the rioting), but at this point, it has just become Vancouver times 20.

But what Pitts said is "why we think the police shot him", but the police refuse to comment because they know they fucked up. Alot of people believe they tried to assasinate a gangster and got the wrong person, killing an innocent father.
What the police don't realise is that if they admitted they fucked up big time, the violence wouldn't have escalated to this level. People wanted answers, the Police refused to give them answers, so the people retaliated.
While some of the rioters, especially those outside London are oppertunists thinking this is all fun, alot of them, as Casey said in his blog, have nothing because they got fucked over by the system, and these people have had enough.
We're reaching a point in society where we no longer want to stand by and watch our governments fuck us over, so people are fighting back.

I dont understand how they think they got fucked over by the 'system' The fact they are rioting in the middle of the day suggests they dont have jobs. Where are their parents, maybe they are the ones who fucked them up?
I didnt see these same people protesting when that kid shot a man dead in the off license? I dont see them 'rising' up against knife crime, which is perpetuated mostly by blacks in London?

Maybe it's just my family history that makes me look at these so called protests against the government and think these people can't riot for shit. If you want change you don't fucking trash your own neighborhoods and attack innocent bystanders. You head for government buildings, you focus on putting pressure onto the Government. That's how you make change happen, you make sure the media sees people rallying and protesting at the parliament or whatever. You coordinate people to have massive demonstrations at government buildings with BBM, not coordinate attacks on t-Mobile shops and flipping luxury cars. or terrorizing women and children.
Not saying there aren't people who are there for legit reasons and using their right to protest seriously and nothing but respect to them, but what the world sees now is not people who are fed up with their government, they just see kids wanting to pick up an S2 and flat screen TVs at 5-finger discount.

Most of it is being aimed at the Police, not the public. They're commiting these crimes to show that they won't bow down to our corrupt Police force. The Police here harass innocent people daily, and frame innocent people for crimes they haven't commited. Police here don't return stolen property if they can avoid it, they sell it for profit. The biggest drug dealers are the Police themselves, so they can put it back on the streets so they can arrest more people.
The general public has no money, we're raped by taxes and have to scrape the ground to survive, while the government, police and corperate business owners sit back and laugh it up. Thats why they are attacking businesses.
What Flipmo said about people not having jobs because its "below them" is bullshit. People don't have jobs for 2 reasons. There are either no jobs, which I had to deal with myself last year, took me 11 months before I could finally get a new job, and I have experience and qualifications, most people can't afford to have a university education. Or the jobs that are available will actually make people poorer than they are without a job. And trust me, if you haven't got a job here, you're fucking poor, you get £45-60 a week to pay for bills, food and transport, if you rent, you can get help, but if you own your own home, you're fucked.
Pay is low here, but costs are stupidly high. Americans complain about the cost of living there. The average wage there is double what it is here, yet everything in America is half the price it is here. $4 for a gallon of gas for your car? That sounds like fucking heaven compared to the $10 (£6, but oil is sold in USD) we have to pay. Try living in a country with a 20% after sales tax when you have fuck all money to your name, with or without a job.
I'm not supporting these people or their actions, but not everything is as black and white as it seems.

Even if this guy was innocent. Which I very, very much doubt. These people are all about looting and fucking shit up for their own enjoyment. This isn't a protest, and won't change the system. I got pulled over in my teens when driving several times a month, I'm not black so didn't claim racism. But at the time I felt victimised. Looking back I realise it was because I was doing something I shouldn't have done. I'm not saying racial profiling doesn't exists... It does... Has this rioting helped with it? No. People are out fitting the profile, so this is actually working against the cause of the ethnic minorities who came here with the intention of adding to the greatness (it used to be) if this country and who are proud to call it home.
There are tons of jobs in London. People come from all other the world to work here. It's a bullshit excuse used by the lazy.

When I was 17 I hung around with people like the dicks out rioting. All on the dole. You get your rent paid for. Which can be 1000's a month. You got at the time, £35 a week. And they also all used to go and get jobs on the side. It was good times. We spent the 2 week dole down the pub the same day.
The protest is fucked. It won't have any support, and any justifiable cause for the riot is lost. All people see is lazy scum fucks smashing up MY London. I am pissed off.
Almost as ridiculous is the rumours on facebook and twitter. Every landmark in a 100 mile radius has been burnt down at least twice.
