The Police are bullies and play games with you. They very often overstep the law, and usually with those who respect them and are law abiding people. As those who are professional criminals are too savvy too be taken advantage of. I, again, had first hand experience of this at the weekend.

If you carry a gun, real or imitation, you risk being shot. I have no sympathy for the guy at all.

I also don't believe in cutting the benefits or evicting the rioters. Not because I care about them, or their rights. It's what they deserve. But because it is a political move and will cost the tax payer more than keeping them in the housing. Punish them through community service.

I'm going to a media workshop tomorrow with some inner city kids in Birmingham who asked me to come in, and hundreds of people decided to show me their appreciation by nominating me to carry the Olympic torch next year.

And... What has Birmingham got to do with the Olympics. It's the London Olympics, not England Olympics, or Britain Olympics. And I think I could probably think of 48,000 people from within various charities in LONDON, who are more deserving.

My blog had over 3 million hits in 4 days. People at the BBC told me everyone there was looking at it for updates. Done interviews with BBC Midlands Today, BBC WM, BBC Asian Network, CNN in the US, Online News Association, La Presse in Canada (Thanks to FlipMo for sending me a copy of the newspaper), Les Nouvel Observateur (national French newspaper), BRMB radio, The Guardian... and a few more.

And... What has Birmingham got to do with the Olympics. It's the London Olympics, not England Olympics, or Britain Olympics. And I think I could probably think of 48,000 people from within various charities in LONDON, who are more deserving.

I was reporting on where the troubles were happening in real time so people knew which areas to avoid. Some of the stuff I was reporting wasn't getting said on BBC or Sky News for hours, if at all. I've had literally thousands of messages of support, so all those people felt it helped. And also, I didn't nominate myself for the Olympic thing, neither did I even come up with the idea. People reading the blog did. I actually wrote on there that if people wanted to do something to show their appreciation for me then they should nominate to Retail Trust who are a charity providing support for all the shopkeepers who have had their livelihoods destroyed.

Yeah, right. Still in our western world there is a difference between a police officier and a judge. A difference vg4030 doesn't understand I assume.

Ok, you might risk it. I agree. But still police has no right to just shoot a man. A 'known' drug dealer? Doesn't matters. If it's the case or not, up to a judge to decide. Innocent until proven guilty, simple. And who said it's a 'known' drugdealer anyway? The Sun? Or the same cops that said he shot first?

You get something messed up. If somebody is senteced to be part of the riots, he or she goes to jail. Fine, I have no problem with it. But to throw the whole family out of social benefits because somebody messed up, is wrong. If you have a family with 5 people and one of them messes up, he goes to jail but there is no need to punish the family as a whole. It's not what our justice system should be about. Besides, if you throw people out to the streets, make them homeless, that already have lil to nothing, what do you think is going to happen next? That's no concept, at all.

No. I understand it perfectly well. If the guy HAS a gun, is the cop supposed to tell him to wait before he he pulls it, while he runs and gets a judge?

Dont get me wrong, Im all about civil liberties and what the police powers should and shouldnt be... but he lost his rights the minute he took a gun onto the streets.

And he was a KNOWN drug dealer... everyone in Tottenham even say so not just the tabloids, he has a long history of relations to drug dealers and gangsters all over the UK.

There is a reason he was being followed that day. They didnt just stop a random black guy and shot him for no reason. He was under surveillance for a long time.

They should prune prisons out every ten years. For those that have been good and shown signs of recovery, shorten the sentence and/or let them out early. For those that continue to be pieces of shit, incinerate them. Save some tax payer dollars and reward those that made a mistake but have shown signs of improvement.

This way, people aren't paying to keep criminals alive in the long-run.

Yupp, the IPCC lied or 'mislead' (as they put it) and that isnt right. But lets see what the independent investigation brings out. If the cops were in the wrong then so be it.. they should be dealt with. At the end of the day, a scumbag died.

Same here. I read about a burglar that effectively sued the people of the house he was about to burgle because he fell on their icy driveway or off their roof. Something ridiculous like that.

it doesn't work that way. eigher you have and accept human rights or you don't. ..... Sadly, all nations claim to respect them but they actually don't in many ways....... but if we talk human rights. A human has those. It doesn't matters if he is/was/will be a criminal or not. It was invented and meant for all people, no matter what.
