actually...
pac and suge were set to travel to vegas in the death row limo (which had been bulletproofed) but the alternator went bad on it. they ended up taking suge's assistant's car instead, which of course is the infamous bmw. this also explains why the subs are 10's and not some ungodly 18's or something. the car spent a brief stint in police custody while the preliminary investigation was conducted, then released to the death row property lot where it was worked over pretty well. it's probably still out there.
and to think, one bad alternator was part of the ultimate tragic chain of events...

seems like everything turned against Pac in that day...one stupid alternator and maybe Pac would be still wit us...i've read somewhere that after shooting on Pac,when Suge finally stopped,the BMW was unsecured by the police for about 1 hour and then car got worked over pretty well,people were takin' out everything what was possible to take out from car...i dunno if this info is 100% correct tho.
It sucks how Pac wasn't riding in the bulletproof limo, and the Bad Boy camp didn't go with the bulletproof rides they were offered when they were in Cali. Now they're both dead.
But then again, who knows, maybe death by the hands of the same triggermen would've just been delayed had situations been different. I'm sure Orlando Anderson would've been just as pissed about getting stomped on by most of the Blood-affiliates in Death Row had he not run into Pac again that same night, plus whoever was responsible for Biggie's death would've carried out the hit anyway.

my thoughts too... however it's plausible that after a failed attempt on his life that pac would have been much more cautious about his public appearances. they had bouncers in every studio patting people down for guns, and these are the people he worked with. seems crazy not to take that same level of precaution onto the streets where you're surrounded by envy.
The keyword is "failed attempt." While what you said is true, I believe that had the second shooting not occurred in Vegas, Pac would've been his same self when he got back to Cali, not really worrying too much about the scuffle, maybe even making a song or two about it. Then perhaps Orlando (or some of his SSCC boys) would've tried to catch Pac off-guard in L.A. and dump on him, much like how they did in Vegas. In such an attempt, if it ended up being a failure, then yes, Pac would've been more cautious after taking a few more bullets. But with no attempts on his life at all, I don't think Pac would've been more cautious than usual after the Vegas scuffle had he not been shot, considering how he had been in a few incidents himself while on Death Row without really facing any retaliation from the opposing party.
I guess just everythin happens for a reason but interestin to look at the order and shit. and then like mentioned wonder how the biggie hit would turn out,if it would of hapened or/hapened like it did and when..
just too many possibilities. I think pac was pretty vulnerable in vegas after they beat down orlando. Think they would of went to do the same shit if they were in the limo on the strip? if they did or didnt how would it turn back to l.a. would they be @fter pac or would it just set off the evident war that took place on the street. and with like dante said upped security with death row
