Really looking forward to watching this. It may be a while before it airs on ESPN Pac Rim but, I'll prolly get it off a torrent soon enough.

I was really disappointed with it. The narration was beyond annoying and it was really boring. The only good part was like 46 or so minutes into it when they got to the part where he got shot and they were discussing that and about when he died. That was a whole what, 2 minute long segment? That for me was the only good part of the special, Otherwise the rest was awful to sit through and watch and when I say "good" I mean sad/hard to watch/ emotional part. It wasn't "good" that he got shot and died of course but it was the only non-boring part of the special for me.

^Nas did a song for the 'Tyson' documentary, Al Sharpton is who he is especially when talking about black icons.

So it premiered on ESPN Pac Rim last night and it was my first time to watch it. Most of information was stuff I already knew. I thought the spoken word bit was too forced. Either that, or I completely lack an understanding of that poetry genre.

Really cool hearing the story of the guy that took the last photograph of Tupac before he got shot. The story of Tupac walking in, writing and recording a song in 20 mins and seeing the studio as well was really cool. I also found it funny that Tupac went to wish Bruce Seldon good luck, only to talk about how Tyson is going to demolish him on the song he recorded. Really cheeky. Gotta admit the punches that knocked out Seldon didn't seem to serious.

Perhaps there could have been more information on what was going on at the hospital. More stories from people who saw him there would have been cool. Mopreme's story did have me wondering what it was that Tupac wanted to say so badly. The kidney failure bit was new information for me.

Maya Angelou talking about Tupac = documentary gold.
