^Nas did a song for the 'Tyson' documentary, Al Sharpton is who he is especially when talking about black icons.
So it premiered on ESPN Pac Rim last night and it was my first time to watch it. Most of information was stuff I already knew. I thought the spoken word bit was too forced. Either that, or I completely lack an understanding of that poetry genre.
Really cool hearing the story of the guy that took the last photograph of Tupac before he got shot. The story of Tupac walking in, writing and recording a song in 20 mins and seeing the studio as well was really cool. I also found it funny that Tupac went to wish Bruce Seldon good luck, only to talk about how Tyson is going to demolish him on the song he recorded. Really cheeky. Gotta admit the punches that knocked out Seldon didn't seem to serious.
Perhaps there could have been more information on what was going on at the hospital. More stories from people who saw him there would have been cool. Mopreme's story did have me wondering what it was that Tupac wanted to say so badly. The kidney failure bit was new information for me.
Maya Angelou talking about Tupac = documentary gold.
