It's easy man.
Depending on what airport you take off from and land at.
The security equipment at airport consists of X-ray machines mainly and then there are metal dectectors and "sniffing" machines. Etc.
The X-ray machines that search hold baggage 99% of the time search for explosives only. On certain flights, dog handlers may get sniffer dogs on the baggage belts to sniff for drugs. But only on certain flights like Jamaica.
XRay machines at passenger level can be set to detect bombs, drugs or fruit and certain foods (sounds weird I know). They are 65% of the time set for explosives and weapons. Very rarely drugs, and sometimes foods as it is important certain foods aren't smuggled. (long story). Metal detectors just check for weapons.
"sniffer" machines are machines that act like sniffer dogs, they can be set for explosives or drugs but usually explosives.
Right Schools out.
But in answer to your question I have taken an ounce or 2 of weed from Amsterdam to London. And also some mushrooms. I believe if you get caught you'll just get done for possesion but I don't know. I wouldn't do it now though as I don't want a criminal record whereas before I didn't care. I have too much to lose now, a decent job and the possibility of relocating to another (warmer) country.
Also - after reading several posts - It doesn't matter if you hide it, residual is on your hands no matter how many times you wash them, if the machine is set to drugs you'll be caught. The same is true of bombs.
