I find it hilarious when foreigners envision England as some nice, pleasant place.
Fact is, people here are xenophobic as hell. If you're not from here, people are going to look down on you and think you're just "some dumb foreigner", ESPECIALLY if you're American. Or Canadian, because it's the same thing to most people here.
Mine (and Gotti's) experiences are the polar opposite, and it's freakin awesome. Being an Englishman in the States is FOR THE WIN.
Girls love your accent. Everyone assumes you are really intelligent as soon as they find out you're from England. Everyone is a million times friendlier, which is a nice change, seeing as most people here are miserable cynical bastards. Weather is better.
And the best thing is that we can actually say that it's an awesome country without coming off as a smug, overly patriotic cunt. lol
