Hi everyone. I haven't posted on this or any other 2Pac site before but I have been actively visiting and reading 2Pac sites since 1995. I'm probably alot older than alot of the other members of this board (29) but I think its great how 2Pac's message has spread even on the Internet and I know since I watched it happen!
Anyway, I had a few questions for Jon or anyone else in charge regarding the events of the past couple weeks. I found alot of this quite illogical and it seems to me that there are alot of lies being spread.
First of all, I was just wondering about a contradiction I found. On the main page of this site (http://www.2pacboard.com/), it states "the domain was last registered in August of 1998 and had the domain name expired and been reregistered as they falsely claim, the creation date would be January 2"
But when you read this site's history (http://www.2pacboard.com/history.html), it is stated "In August of 1996 I registered the domain HitEmUp.com. Unfortunately the following month was when Tupac was shot and killed in Las Vegas. His death affected me a lot,".
Now these 2 propositions contradict and obviously only 1 can be true. So Jon, when did you really register this site and how long has it really been around? If you did lie about that... why would you lie about something like that? It seems to make no sense to lie about that. It seems like an apparent attempt at increasing your credibility as a long term 2Pac fan and the site's credibility as a long running 2Pac information source. Whatever the reason, it leads me to believe you are a liar and I can't trust you which leads to my next point.
This story about the site being "hijacked" doesn't seem to be quite logical. First of all the site was so thoroughly hijacked that it seems to me that much more was involved rather than just a domain name. How did they have a replica of the board and the site with all of its pages, fully working. What was stranger is that as time went by, the site which was fully working was slowly broken in places to make it seem like it was a hacked version. And now the site is gone. BUT every once in a while the site reappears linking to the new site -- 2PacBoard.com. Moreover, why would someone hack the site and then leave a message board there to be spammed with posts directing people to a new site?
None of this really made sense to me until today when I was looking at the main page of this site and noticed the box to "Donate to HitEmUp's legal fund." Really, if you think about it, the owner of the site is benefiting from all of this. If you read the site's history, you will notice that in the past, the owner of this site sold it to music fan network in order to make money and that he also mentions advertising revenue on that page and several other pages of the site. The owner also mentions the "commercialization" of this site in the site's mission (http://www.2pacboard.com/mission.html) and this is already taking shape in various forms including a mixtapemp3.com site which the owner is making money off, as well as HitEmUp clothing, etc. Then it is clear that this site is not really an unofficial 2pac fan site but a vehicle for the owner to make money.
Now consider this. If a huge event such as a hacking and hijacking of the site occured, it would obviously bring the community members of this site closer together against this hypothetical hacker. The result is that the members of the community become motivated in their shared cause and are easily manipulated by their leader (Jon). And what does their leader do? He tries to take their hard earned money through a donation. Sure, he states that it will be used for legal fees but really what legal action is being taken? I haven't heard of any. Also, he states that the leftover money will be donated to charity. But really, can you trust someone who lied about something as trivial as the date this domain was registered in an apparent attempt at increasing his credibility as a long term 2Pac fan?
This theory is further backed by other strange phenomonea. Notice, for example, how original the "replacement board" on MixTapeMP3.com had all the previous posts, but now the "replacement board" is missing all the previous posts? YET the posts count and user information is still here! That doesn't make any sense unless for some reason the posts weren't put online. Why wouldn't the posts be put online? To further outrage the members of this board at their lost! If you all came back to see the board exactly how it was left, would you really want to donate? No, you would think, hey this board is invincible it will always be here. But since it was damaged severely, now you think -- hey this board might just dissapear unless I support it! I should send them some money for their "legal fund"!
If you haven't been able to fill in the blanks yet, this is my theory. The site wasn't hacked. The hacking was way too clean and thorough to have been a "hacking". The site was manipulated in various ways to appear like it was hacked to cause commotion among the board members and make them realize just how important this site was to them. This was done in a way such that all the members of the site were well informed of what was going on. Even now, someone still controls the domain name and redirects it to this site from time to time in an obvious attempt at catching every last viewer of the previous domain and increasing the visibility of the "hacking" notices and the legal fund pleas. For a period of time the board was in a state of havok to manipulate the minds of the members of this community into feeling a loss for what was previously such a big part of their life. When the board came back, the previous posts weren't put online even though Jon still has a copy of them (what happened to the mixtapemp3 copy?). That further amplified the psycological effects on the board members. Now the board is united in a common cause against a "hacker" and legal fees are necessary to pursue the hacker. Since the board members got a taste of a chaotic board and also the loss of a board, they are further motivated to donate to the legal fund because they feel violated. Jon is making a shit load of money and laughing at us. Tonight he's probably smoking a fat sack on you and sipping on some Hennessey X.O on you. He's probably scheming his next Internet scam to further thicken his wallet. His previous attempts worked, although not as well as he'd like (eg. "this board will shut down if you don't donate to keep it running") but finally he hit gold! I'm sure it doesn't cost more than $50 a month to host a website. This site probably makes hundreds of dollars a month and now with the legal donations, probably hundreds of dollars a day! Probably when Jon sold this site to that Music Network, he sold it for like $50,000-$100,000... You think that's absurd? The time he sold it (2000) the ".COM" bubble was just about to burst but was also at its peak. Companies were throwing around MILLIONS of dollars all over the Internet because they didn't properly understand the technology. After blowing that 50 - 100 Gz on crack and hookers, Jon needed more money to support his new lifestyle. So he came up with a brilliant plan to manipulate a whole community of 2Pac fans...its really quite brilliant. And for those of you familiar with his work, its a very Machiavellian plan full of deceit and manipulation and I'm SURE Jon has read Machiavelli's teachings.
Everyone, just remember what 2Pac said!! "Trust NOBODY, TRUST __NOBODY__"
Anyway this shit is just way too crazy for me!!! I'm going to go puff a blunt and pass out! KILLUMINATI!!!!
