i think that there's more at play than is immediately obvious...
amaru and interscope both have legal claims to pac's music catalog that was left behind, and subsequently make a collaborative call as to the release and promotion of cetrain projects. following lttg's miserable failure, interscope has essentially put 2pac on probation, meaning that they are extremely hesitant to back another project unless it will corner some significant market success. that being said, from what i have been informed, interscope is sitting this one out, as it pertains to rose2. if 2pac was alive, interscope woul dhave dropped him after lttg. believe that.

enter koch, a record label that much like aim records, will put anything out to make a buck. hey, they put out the outlawz's releases, nu-miss, and live... while koch can get a cd on most shelves, their promotion for their own products is horrible, and it is often the case that their cd's mysteriously show up on shelves after the official release date has passed. combine that with the fact that this is a poetry cd by definition and you have a cd that will likely pop up on some shelves, but get pushed back behind all eyez on me remaster or even removed completely within a week or two.

you'll see it on some shelves, and because it's not on the release lists doesn't mean it won't be there, but it just lets you know what kind of attention/priority this release will receive.

"following lttg's miserable failure" wtf, it was Interscope's OWN FAULT and miserbale fatal mistake to let that album go without NO PROMOTION almost: If it wasnt for Eminem (and what he did for the single) the album would go prolly unnoticed... THESE STUPID Interscope folks have to get outta game, I cant stand them anymore almost.

quite the opposite, man. without eminem the album would have been pretty decent. i have heard a couple of the tracks he replaced, and although they weren't fire, they would have sold much better than his staccatto loops.

Although i didnt agree with the whole album by eminem, he did produce us a number one single. Even if most people didnt like it, it was more exposure. LTTG actually sold better in the UK, then most of pac's albums have from what ive been told.

Wow, thanks for the insight, so that means Interscope might never release Pac albums again? Since Interscope has legal claims to Pac's music, does that mean that Amaru can't even put albums out on another label?

I don't really understand why Interscope is so disappointed with the sales of Loyal To The Game. It is deservingly the worst posthumous release sales wise, but it still went platinum and Ghetto Gospel was one of the most, if not the most successful Pac single across Europe. They abviously didn't spend a lot on the production and promoting of the album.:eek:

It's a shame that Pac's sales are decreasing with every album since UTEOT, which went triple platinum. BD was double platinum, Resurrection sold around 1.5 million if I remeber right and LTTG barely went platinum.

Peace.

uteot = 3platz
bd= 3 platz
ressurection =1.5/6
lttg= 1.2(close to this figure im guessin)

had resurrection and lttg been double albums they would have been certified 3x platz and 2x platz respectably

When I think about that, and then remember what artist they are dealing with it's pretty hard not to get pissed off. Amaru really are destroying Pac's legacy with each new release.

If biggie got an album produced totally by eminem with all those shitty beats and fucked up vocals, his fans would be as pissed as Pac's fans are.

Are you sure BD went triple platinum? As far as I remember it was only certified double, but I may be wrong.

The other numbers you typed were basically the same as mine.:)

yea bd is 3x plat.

the point to my post was to show that number of albums sold hasnt decreased dramatically. and if the last 2 albums had been double albums they would have sold more or less the same.

ay man, not ungrateful.. u see, they ain realeased none of the real shit instead they gave us 'Loyal 2 The Game' and to be honest, i'd rather go without...

And it's tru what sum1 already said if the BIG fans got albums every year and 1 year its a fucked up 'LTTG' style album im sure they'd be in the same boat that we in...

once again... pacs so dam great man, still gettin his cd's 9 years later and theres only 1 reason cos Pac worked his ass off 2 give us them cd's and why shuld he of done that if someones gonna fuck it up... now that's why we would be bitching
