Nice advertisement, but I am not so sure on vegetarian. I just believe if you eat healthy and be healthy you can last longer.

I.e. When I was in football in High school, I could last marathons, 4-5 hours. Training in it, eating healthy with meat, and drinking nothing but water and orange juice...and occasionally milk with a bowl of cereal (Kix, Wheats) none of that sugary shit.

Now that I drink soda often, and train very little but still eat meat, I only last about 2-3 hours.

I am going back to drinking v8 to improve my performance. I think I will see a up-kick.

P.S. How do you upkeep the blood in your dick with no meat?

In research, whenever you read "Studies Show" without any backup information of any kind, it has to be dismissed. Just like when they say: "Studies show that we only use 10% of our brain capacity" ... Yes well, what studies...? who did them...? Obviously it's bullshit, there are no studies of the kind, and we don't only use 10% of our brain.

Retarded commercials, but I'd pork them with a zucchini.

^true dat. They say anyone can do a study and say "Studies show," when it could have been done by community college students. (Not to put them down though).

Please tell me you aren't serious.

I've had far better sex as a vegetarian than I ever did when I ate meat.

It's actually been scientifically proven that eating meat can block up the arteries that allow for erections, they stop the blood filling the arteries and thus, no boner for you.

I'm sure if someone stopped eating meat and didn't otherwise change their diet, they could probably suffer from erectile dysfunction, but it's essential that you change your diet to suit if you stop eating meat, or you're bound to have all sorts of problems. A balanced diet is paramount regardless.

Meat is bad for you, full stop. You can quite easily get all of the proteins and vitamins that it contains, from vegetarian/vegan/humanitarian sources.

Have a read of this.

All muscle tissue is very high in protein, containing all of the essential amino acids, and in most cases is a good source of zinc, vitamin B12, selenium, phosphorus, niacin, vitamin B6, iron and riboflavin.[1] However, meat has abundant fat (ground red meat in particular), is low in carbohydrates, and contains no fiber.[2][3] The fat content of meat can vary widely depending on the species and breed of animal, the way in which the animal was raised, including what it was fed, the anatomical part of the body, and the methods of butchering and cooking. Wild animals such as deer are typically leaner than farm animals, leading those concerned about fat content to choose game such as venison. Decades of breeding meat animals for fatness (to provide calories for hard work) is being reversed by consumer demand for meat with less fat (for a more sedentary lifestyle).

In recent years, the health benefits of meat as a regular part of the human diet may be offset by risks. In a large-scale study, the consumption of red meat over a lifetime was found to raise the risk of cancer by 20 to 60 percent, while causing adverse mutations in DNA.[4] In particular, red meat and processed meat were found to be associated with higher risk of cancers of the lung, esophagus, liver, and colon, among others.[4] Animal fat, particularly from ruminants, tends to have a higher percentage of saturated fat vs. monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fat when compared to vegetable fats, with the exception of some tropical plant fats;[5] consumption of which has been correlated with various health problems. The saturated fat found in meat has been associated with significantly raised risks of colon cancer,[6][7] breast cancer,[8][9] osteoporosis,[10][11][12] and prostate cancer,[13] although some evidence suggests that risks of prostate cancer are unrelated to animal fat consumption.[14]

Meat has been correlated to increased risk of heart disease[15] and diabetes,[16] with the risks of heart disease being three times greater for 45-64 year old men who eat meat daily, versus those who are vegetarian, according to one survey.[17] A large-scale study in 2008 also found that eating two or more servings of meat a day increases the risk of suffering from excessive fat around the waist, high blood sugar, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure by 25 percent compared to those who had two servings of meat a week or less.[18][16] One famous study, the Nurses' Health Study, followed about 100,000 female nurses and their eating habits. Nurses who ate the largest amount of animal fat were twice as likely to develop colon cancer as the nurses who ate the least amount of animal fat.[19]

In response to changing prices as well as health concerns about saturated fat and cholesterol, consumers have altered their consumption of various meats. A USDA report points out that consumption of beef in the United States between 1970–1974 and 1990–1994 dropped by 21%, while consumption of chicken increased by 90%. During the same period of time, the price of chicken dropped by 14% relative to the price of beef. In 1995 and 1996, beef consumption increased due to higher supplies and lower prices.

Meat, like any food, can also transmit certain diseases, but complete cooking and avoiding recontamination reduces this possibility. Undercooked pork sometimes contains the parasites that cause trichinosis or cysticercosis[20][21]. Chicken is often contaminated with Salmonella enterica[22] disease-causing bacteria. Minced beef can be contaminated during slaughter with disease-causing Escherichia coli O157:H7 originating from the intestinal tract or hide if proper precautions (such as steam pasteurization or organic acid treatment)are not taken.[23]

According to Erica Frank, professor of health care at the University of British Columbia, eating an animal also involves absorbing the toxins stored in its body fat. She quotes the United States Environmental Protection Agency: "The average American intake is between 300 and 500 times the safe daily dose of dioxin."[24] She argues that dioxin, which is stored in animal fat, is a cancer-causing substance and disrupts hormones and the immune system. "People would be in error if they think they're doing themselves a service by eating bison."[24]
and this:

Every year, impotence, or "erectile dysfunction," affects millions of men across the world, with one study showing that as many as half of men over the age of 40 are impotent at least part of the time. Originally, it was thought that impotence was caused by anxiety, but according to the Erectile Dysfunction Institute, up to 90 percent of all cases of impotence are physical as opposed to psychological. That's right: High cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, prostate cancers or inflammations, and hormonal imbalances cause the vast majority of all cases of impotence. The good news is that medical science suggests that all of these conditions can be managed or in some cases even prevented with a low-fat vegan diet.

Viagra and other anti-impotence drugs may get you through the night, but a vegetarian diet can get you through your life. Numerous physicians and nutritionists agree that the best way to prevent artery blockage as well as multiple other conditions that cause impotence is to eat a diet high in fiber, including plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. These foods will scrub the plaque off the arterial walls to get your blood flowing and your love life going again in no time
and this:

A Natural Cure For Impotence

Looking for a natural cure for impotence? Cut out the meat.

We think of meat as the manliest of foods. Sam Elliot's gravely voice exhorts us to eat it for dinner, everyone praises it for its "muscle-building" protein, but there can be nothing more emasculating.

Meat erodes the two surest signs of virility that we have- our ability to have and sustain an erection and the testosterone levels that fuel our desire. If this were more widely known, I have a feeling that most men would start moving toward a plant-based diet.

A Cure For Impotence That Addresses the Underlying Problem

The penis is basically a hydraulic system. Blood needs to reach it so it can enlarge. The vast majority of cases in which it can't aren't due to stress or other mental issues; it's a simple problem that any engineer would be familiar with.

The cause of impotence is the build up of fat in and the degradation of the arterial system that supplies the penis with blood. (1) When the arteries are too clogged to carry blood, you won't get a solid erection.

So if you're having problems getting it up, you can bet that it's becuase you've been hitting up the meat, dairy, and eggs- the primary causes of fatty deposits in our arteries.

During a man's reproductive years, regular meat eating will lower sperm count, shorten sperm life, decrease ejaculate volume, and cause infertility. (2). All of these problems are largely absent from those who abstain from meat, dairy and eggs. (3)

The same arterial system that's too clogged to send blood to the penis is also slowly but surely becoming too clogged to send blood to the brain and heart. According to a JAMA study, 45 percent of those who have erectile dysfunction end up having a stroke or heart attack.(4)

Why is this happening? Erectile dysfunction is usually seen in men with high cholesterol levels (6) and high levels of LDL “bad” cholesterol(9). Both of those conditions are brought on by regular meat consumption. You eat the fatty stuff, it layers your arteries, and blood flow is decreased. Simple as that.

I should mention that the humble banana has no cholesterol.

The Chemical Side of the Cure For Impotence

All the blood flow in the world isn't going to do you any good if you're not interested, which brings me to the coup de grâce.

You're literally manlier for not eating meat, dairy and eggs because you don't have the female hormone estrogen coursing through you, and you've got higher levels of what makes men men.

I found out about this little scientific gem while I was in college. I had just become a cooked-food vegan, and a few of my friends were ribbing me over it. Girly salad food, etc. I played the virility card, and it silenced them pretty quickly.

How did I do it? I painted a clear picture of their manhood withering away with every bite of the chicken nuggets they were stuffing into their mouths. Sure their arteries were becoming clogged, but what about the chemical side of things?

Testosterone levels determine sexual development and interest levels. Meat eaters rank 13 percent lower in testosterone than vegans. (5)

The reason? We don't know for sure, but it's most likely becuase meat eaters are constantly exposing themselves to female hormones. What do you think is inside that cow you're eating - a cow that is kept pregnant and producing milk, I might add. And unless you're eating organic meat, that cow is getting hormonal growth injections.

We know that female estrogen wreaks havoc on the reproductive system when put into a man (6)
Think You Don't Need A Cure For Impotence?

You're manly. You don't eat that much meat, dairy and eggs anyway. It can't happen to you, or you don't want to think about your food that much. You want there to be no consequences for what you send down your throat.

Unfortunately, you're not likely to get away with that for long.

Some people as young as their late 20s start becoming impotent, though the damage has been building since a young age. Between the ages of 40 and 70, 52 percent of the populace will have some degree of dysfunction, while 10 percent have total absence of function due to ED, according to the Massachusetts Male Aging Study.

Just about everyone that eats animal products suffers from the lowered testosterone. (8)

It's unlikely that you'll avoid emasculation completely while still eating animal protein, so you're gong to need a cure for impotence the gets at the source of things.
Raw Fruit And Vegetables Are A Natural Cure For Impotence
You can take all the pills you like, but they're not addressing the underlying cause that's also slowly killing you.

The key to a cure for impotence and removing years of accumulated arterial fat, or plaque, is to switch to an extremely healthy low fat diet with no animal protein or cooked foods. The diet should be based around fruit and vegetables, with very limited overt fat intake. Adopting a low fat vegan diet will start reversing atherosclerosis very quickly. (7) In 1997, Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn published a 12-year study of his ART (Arrest and Reversal Treatment) program in the American Journal of Cardiology. His patients were all essentially on a low fat vegan diet.

He found that following the program, his patients averaged a seven percent reduction in arterial plaque over the first five years. This may not sound like much, but remember that the volume of blood delivered is 30 percent greater when the diameter is increased by 7 percent.

That 30 percent increase is enough to prevent a heart attack or stroke, Esselstyn found, and while no studies have been done on bringing back sexual function, when the arteries are clear again, blood will be able to flow freely to any extremity. Full sexual function will return in time.

Fruit lowers triglyceride levels, when you get rid of triglyceride and and other blood fats, it helps to stop and reverse the build up of arterial fat. Fruit should definitely be a mainstay of your diet.

So stop worrying about pills or doctors. You can use this cure for impotence and heal yourself by adopting a healthy raw food diet.

Meat is NOT bad for you, full stop.

If you eat meat like a Texan then yeah, you will probably have a limp dick. But Im sure there is evidence, just as you posted to show that meat as part of a balanced diet is ok and even beneficial for you.

It is not about 'eating meat like a Texan'.

It only takes a small amount of meat intake to lead to serious health concerns, and I would put money on it that every meat eater reading this consumes far, far more than is healthy.

Even eating some meat three or four a week is too much. Most meat-eaters eat it daily, speaking from my own observations of all the meat-eaters I know.

That exactly reinforces my pint about eating it as part of a balanced diet. Just cutting it out isnt the answer. Also, I'd bet the negative effects are linked more to red meat than chicken or fish.

Thanks for the facts bro. I didn't know all that.

I think people in my culture taught me the exact opposite. I never once thought eating meat was manly or anything, but I just thought it to be healthy, unless you were to eat it 'like a texan.'

See, a few studies show that Latino's usually are healthiest race b/c of the beans and other stuff in our general diet. We complete most of our amino intake without taking vitamins.

Therefore, I usually would eat meat 3-4 times a week but not in large amounts...I would more so intake the other things and I would get yelled @ by my mom b/c she believed I didn't eat ENOUGH meat. I usually am looked at as too skinny, not enough 'meat' on my bones.

Regardless, thanks for the info.

Sometimes I eat healthy, at times I eat only at junky places like kfc and mcdonalds and I have never experienced any difference. I couldn't stop eating meat right now I think and that's because most vegetables won't get through my throat. I hate their taste really much. It's just stronger than me even though I'd love to enjoy eating healthy food.

Oh god, not another Veggie-Vs-Meat fag debate.

Remember this, A Lion doesn't give a fuck when its chewing on your head, so you shouldn't either. Just because you have a higher intelligence isn't an excuse to deny your instincts as a animal. You're only vegetarians because you think its make you better than others, that called egotism. Please tell me honestly that you don't think you're a better person because you don't eat meat. You may think you are being selfless by saving the animals, but you're not.

If you want to be a vegetarian, thats cool, be one. But don't go round like a Jehovah witness forcing your beliefs onto others and trying to prove yourselves.

Gotti, it is not about egotism, it is about compassion.

You have the ability to make the compassionate choice. A lion does not. It is not about intelligence or believing oneself to be better than another.

Do you think that Gandhi believed himself to be better than others?

Regardless, in spite of personal beliefs, vegetarianism is also the preferred choice for health reasons, as I've tirelessly posted about in this thread.

If you do not have any moral objection to killing something that doesn't have a say, and you also do not care that you are slowly (or quickly, depending on your consumption) destroying your own body too, then that is a very, very sad state of affairs and I hope that you can gain some perspective.

Compassion is not a selfless act, there is no such thing as a selfless act. Does it not make you feel good by doing something compassionate? Can you honestly say no? You can't.

I don't disagree with you about meat being unhealthy, and thats because ANY food is unhealthy. Any thing you consume is toxic, whether its a leg of lamb or a pear. You eat too much of that shit and you'll die.

And there is no such thing as morals. Today its immoral to have sex with a 12 year old girl. 200 hundreds years ago it was perfectly fine to have had 3 kids and be married by your 13th birthday. For centuries people had same sex relationships until the Catholic church deemed it immoral. Morals change based on opinions. Opinions are not fact, just personal beliefs.
