Jaa also practiced Taekwondo.. He only started with muay thai. He's just a stuntman.
Anyway all those people train something called martial arts tricks. It has something to do with martial arts but is mostly practiced to look nice. 90% of those techniques would be useless in real combat.
I trained Taekwondo with a lot of fancy techniques but only basic punches and really a few kicks are useful in combat.
Also modern Wushu is stunts only - no fight.

True, Modern Wushu is based purely on the showcase of skill, technique and timing among other things but no full contact fighting, although not saying that some of those moves still wouldn't come handy in a real situation (I can sadly tell this from experience.. ran into some random psychopath last summer and had no choice but to knock him out in order to keep my life and accidently nearly killed him.. those trials are not pretty.)
But there is also Sanda, that is a fullcontact version of modern kungfu and is put into the sub-category of Wushu.

when I clearly talk about MODERN Wushu and practice it do you think I don't know that there are 2 different Wushu's? 
Original wushu was a true military martial art and was a requirement for soldiers to know in ancient china. (Thus why still to this day, "modern" wushu has a wide range of weapons used in it)

All Tony Jaa does is jump around and pull off Jackie Chan like stunts. He really is not that great of a martial artist. Which of his moves do you think beat Michael Jai Whites quadruple kick in one? The knee? The double knee? He has never done anything nearly as complicated or physical as Jai White has demonstrated.
Tony Jaa is way over rated and in real life against a real fighter would get his ass kicked.
To be honest, while I dont have his stunt man techniques, in a real fight that didnt involve jumping through narrow spaces, I am confident that I could take Jaa with a couple solid hits considering I am twice as big and built as the dude.

Here is Jai White showcasing what I guess is a previous version of that kick, with 3 impacts instead of the 4 he does in the movie trailer. 3 is impressive, but adding a 4th strike to that one jump is just crazy.

Have you seen the Protector? He did one continuous shot of him fighting up stairs for something like 4 minutes and it only had to stop because the cameraman was tired from walking up the stairs (i think it was 4 stories?).
Muscle and size doesn't mean anything in a fight, Crocop vs Sapp proved that. Michael Jai White probably isn't that great of a fighter either, but we don't know since we've never seen him fight. Bruce Lee never fought anyone on camera or in front of a crowd, but have you seen his sparring video? The dude is lightning fast
