the great depression

write it yourself, you might learn something that way. Your skills will improve on many levels. I agree with Harry Potter, the topic is intersting to write about.

^ya lol, i dont mind learning about it or doing it myself that wasnt the problem, just the motherfucker wants us to write a 2 page essay in one day.

2 pages? is that all!

First clarify if it is a report or a essay. The two are easily confused.
If its a report, then you need
Abstract:
Inroduction: This is where you must ask the questions.
Body: Both sides must be argued
Conclusion:your opinion only

the report must have a line spacing of 1.5 in word and there can be NO slang whatsoever. Make sure you cite all your references and the bibliiography can be made up but must be from more than one source. I would just go onto amazon and just get some book names.

the reference and bibliography format must be

Author:
Book name
Publisher information:
PAge number:

internet references must also contain a date when the page was accessed

essay is pretty much similar, however it must be completely written from your point of view. whereas a report is other peoples arguments which you must exapnd on and come to a conclusion of being for one thing or another.

Never in the report/ essay say that you are doing a report/ essay. rather use words like 'in this short-piece' or 'in the following document i am going to.....'

The great depression personifies ........(i was going to do an intro for you but i cant be bothered now :p )

It's a really interesting topic. If you do it yourself you'll probably feel alot happier that you accomplished something instead of taking an essay from someone, ya know?

Yeah, it is quite an interesting topic & is worthwhile as it is still very much relevant to today's politics.

Btw, ken in an essay or a report, would you not include a background?

So that the structure goes,

Intro.
Background
Body
Conclusion

Just that, IMO, if you have a little background you can refer to numerous things without having to go over their meaning - such as the policies & attitudes that America had adopted, ie. laissez faire, isolationism, which you would explain in terms of 'what' & 'why'.

I would and always do. Its how I was taught so maybe im just used to it
Yeah, I don't think it's necessarily wrong - the same goes for my way - it's just rather alien to me. I would always think that your introduction is the start of your essay thus, anything before this is outwith the essay..... I suppose this kind of makes sense & many books are laid out in this format still, for essays I'll stick to what I know.
