Suspension ???

#1
No, I am not talking about car springs, what made you think that???.

I walked out of my last job, refused to work, got suspended. I was suspended on full pay while I was refusing to work. Within a week I found a new job and posted my resignation. Over a month later, I check my numbers, and I am still on the fucking payroll from my previous employment ... wtf ???!!! I mean, I refuse to work, and I get paid for it? lol

lol omg you got paid for it!

Well, I was packing a bowl and I dropped my weedage on the floor. It was fairly dark down there but I managed to recover most of the spill. I was re-packing when I noticed a funny looking bud - in fact, it wasn't a bud but a raisin!! The problem is - I don't eat dried fruit, especially raisins. wtf? lol

Oh man, someone start archiving this dude's posts. These are classic posts and unique in that it isn't written by an immigrant or a retard or a retarded immigrant. Genuine random humor.

Yes, suspension from employment in uk is usually on full pay while an investigation is pending. I ignored all calls after though, I knew I wasn't going back. The funny thing is I am still getting paid.

I did point it out to my ex assistant manager, she knows about it. It's not like I'm getting a full wage every week, I thought it was back tax at first, then when I found out it continues I thought maybe it is holiday pay that I had accrued and not taken. Now I don't know why I'm still on the payroll ??? I'm not complaining though, it covers my board money each week, which is good because I'm saving up for a car

i don't know the laws in your country. i know the ones in mine though, and there's a host of reasons why someone would receive extended pay.

A lot of the reasons of why I left were personal and had nothing to do with business, and something which I didn't want involvement either. I kind of got roped into it all, without wanting to be a part of it. The manager was in on it, and I argued with him and pointed out his faults. He knows why I left, he just didn't know that I knew what games he was playing. I nipped his plans in the bud, and it cost him several employees, not just me walking out.

If he had fired me he would have had to give me one weeks pay for notice. If I had resigned there and then, I wouldn't have got suspension pay. I refused to work but didn't resign, because I had a complaint/argument. I don't want to go into too much detail. I came off with the best possible outcome in the end, probably better than those who left directly after me, because I played it better.

I didn't get fired bcoz I didn't loose my cool, I kept everything business. During my argument with my then manager he said 'I am waiting for you to tell me to fuck off' - then I said 'I am not attacking you personally, I am attacking your professionalism.' This manager showed my CV to my colleagues, as he was in the process of promoting/demoting people, he was looking for all the info/advice he could get. He told me straight that he had shown my CV to other colleagues, and what they thought of it. << That right there is a breach of the data protection act, and I flawed him on that. I told my manager, 'I don't want to work for anyone who breaches the most basic laws of legislation'. Yes I can understand he was looking for all the info he could find on people, but he was in straight denial about my qualifications and experience, and chose other peoples opinions over documented formalities. I proved him wrong and he failed. So much for a company that train their own cooks and have a hard time findind proper chefs. When I said I would walk out my manager threatened me with civil action, he said what would I do, if he took civil action? I shot him with a 12 guage and said I would phone ACAS. Motherfuckin dictator shut up then, haha. Employers don't like to hear of it. Me 1 employer 0
