Are you?

While I was driving today, a black cat ran across the street. I almost hit it. Where I'm from, that's a sign of bad luck. Anyway, I despise superstitious people so much that I ended up drinking 7 beers at a friend's house and driving home just so I could prove that I won't have bad luck.

Well, OK, that's not the real reason I was drinking but yeah..for the sake of the thread, why not.

no but sometimes everything makes me believe that there are better and worse days.
Sometimes?

There's no need to be ambiguous here. It's fact that we all have better and worse days. Thing is though, the good and the bad times in our life don't function on the time tracking devices humans invented. Therefore, good and bad "periods" of time suits me better.

Well yeah that's what I mean. It makes me wonder is it a coincidence that all the things that happen to you for a certain period of time are bad. There are times where I can tell that today will happen something bad, it's not like I expect it but for example yesterday - I had an important day and I woke up after 3 hours of sleep. When I went to take a shower I found out that there was only cold water.
I went to a shop to buy something to eat and said good morning and the lady answered "good morning, but it's not that good really". At that moment I knew that it's a bad day and everything that happened later proved that. My driving license got lost in department before I even got it and there are problems, I failed to make it to an important meeting and then I nearly passed out because of terrible heat we had yesterday. Just a sucky day.

No, I'm not for the most part. Where I'm from, if a brid hits your window someones gonna die, It's happened twice recently, and no one died. It just ment that those brids are fucking stupid.

Also, if you drink 7 beers and drive home, that's buzzed drving, so you're fine.

Illu that video was cool. The circle thing is crazy. Who is that guy, is he like the UK version of David Blaine? I think I saw him play like 12 people at chess all at once or something like that before on youtube, same guy?

I read some interesting literature, on how Ninja's used superstiton as a psychological weapon against their enemies.

Ninja's trained extensively physically. They also studied scientific and psychological knowledge extensively. Ninja's knew how to control their own Endocrine system, for example. With their knowledge being so great, the Ninja surprised and subdued their enemy with use of their esoteric knowledge and exceptional skills coupled with that knowledge. It is because of this that the Ninja then began to fabricate superstitious stories on how they (the Ninja) were trained by devils and had superhuman powers. But really they were intellectually superior (on result from their knowledge), creating stories to answer questions their enemies couldn't answer. That is superstition to me.

weird you mention this now cuz i broke a mirror a few days ago and thought about making the SAME thread but never did...

anyways, i dont believe in it. i think its something for parents to tell their kids and scare 'em or something. every time i think of superstitions i think of dumb and dumber where jim carrey spills salt and the other dude tells him to throw it over his shoulder, and that seabass guy gets hit wit the salt lol. kinda off topic but fuck it.
