should i feel worried?

what's up to all of you,
been a long time since i've posted here last, but from time to time i still come and read what's going on here ;)
so, i got this little problem that happened to me this weekend and wanted to hear your thoughts about it.
yesterday i was waiting for my buddy in a secluded parking lot, near the grove. while he was on his way, i suddenly felt an urge to take a piss. went just behind the tree and did. on my way back to the car i accidentally steeped into some dirt with my shoe. wanted to wipe it off with some leaf. when i plucked off a leaf suddenly felt a prick to my finger - it was a used syringe lying under that leaf, which i didn't see before and only saw after i had contact with it. what an odd - just wanted to wipe off the dirt and got a prick from a used syringe needle. what i saw later, there were several other syringes lying around. i guess that contact was minor, but there was still some blood from my finger. i didn't have the abbility to sterilize my finger or at least wash it with soap, just wiped it off and that's it. so, should i feel worried about the possibility of getting some infections or can i just forget it and don't take it too seriously?

go to the hospital now, I have no doubt that it was used for herion, you may have some something more serious than an infection.

You need to go have a blood test done for HIV amongst other things, asap. And dont be sexually active until the results come in.

i now. i said it to my gf. she told me to go and get some tests. and no sex untill that.
but here i was browsing through sites and read that blood test can show if i'm HIV positive only 3-6 months after the possible contact.

i have to do test - that's no doubt. but wanted to hear your thoughts about what could be possibilities from such small contact to caught infection, HIV or hepatitis (incubation period for hepatitis is shorter than for HIV)

There is medication to prevent HIV from manifesting and i suggest you try to get that since it has only happened recently just to be on the safe side.

It would help a whole lot if you could go back there and find the syringe and get that tested. Then the doctor would know what you might have been exposed to and give you specific drugs, if necessary.

yeah touching any type of used syringe is reason enough to be worried and go get it checked out... tiny prick or getting it wedged in your arm... doesnt matter..
