Shakurspeare is the upcoming posthumously released album from the late hip hop artist Tupac Shakur, scheduled to be released on June 16, 2010 (the day that would have been his 39th birthday). It will contain some of Shakur's first songs recorded in 1988 during the so called Born Busy Sessions. It will contain older Tupac recordings in their original form. The vocals for "Shakurspeare" were originally recorded in acappella form on cassette in 1988 (when he was known as MC New York) and have since been digitally mastered and paired to contemporary beats crafted by Baltimore producer Darrin Keith Bastfield. Its cover will feature a Bastfield painting portraying Shakur as Shakespeare. According to Afeni Shakur the album will feature a song that 2Pac recorded with Bone Thugs-n-Harmony in 1994 for their debut album Creepin On Ah Come Up. It will have featured guests the first rappers who featured him like Dr. Dre, Daz Dillinger, Snoop Dogg, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, K-Ci & JoJo, Nate Dogg, Yaki Kadafi, The Notorious B.I.G. recording new verses for the new songs, and other featured guests as new rappers like Eminem, 50 Cent, Xzibit, The Game, Cashis and others.
