Rape vs Murder

Ok, I always thought of this... What do people think is a more horrendous crime, rape or murder. Now I know most ppl are saying, obviously murder u retarded fuck, but look at it this way.

.. actually lemme make one thing clear, im not talking about systematic serial killers.

Alright so when theres a murder theres alot of things that play a role, like a fight that escalated. Somebody killed someboy by mistake, when they just wanted to hurt em real bad. Sometimes the person was even just pushed into doing it. But the point is, usually the dude didnt do it for pleasure.

Whereas when somebody rapes somebody its feakish because they do it out of pleasure. Its sadistic. Whats even more fucked is that ur hurting somebody sooo badly and taking so much away from them, and they might have no choice but to enjoy some of it... ppl that rape lil boys and girls are a different story, they're just not human. A rape victim have to deal with what happened for the rest of their lives, murder victims, well they're dead.

... basically what im trying to say is fuck rapist, give those sons of bitch 25 to life (atleast) most of them are repeated offenders too, those sick fucks. I'd rather be killed than raped for sure, shit we all gotta die someday anyways

Although murder is considered more "horrendous" i would have to say rape. Especially since the woman has to face it everyday for the rest of her life. When a person is raped they are not only hurt physically but they are mentally fucked over too, which is wat takes the bigger toll on a person.

yea exactly what i said. the victim would have to live with the idea of being mentally scarred for the rest of their life.

and just to add. murder by mistake is manslaughter so it is not classed as murder because it wasnt intended.

rape is much worse. it will have a knock on effect for the victim which might in extreme cases cause them to do something stupid like commit suicide. (hopefully they wont and would get help instead (which they wouldnt need to if it wasnt for the criminal in the first place)).

Sure it affects victim's mind, so do mental illnesses for like 1/4 of community suffering from depressions, neurosis and such.

Murder is a giant tragedy while rape is common and in many cases it isn't even THAT terrible for most girls. Especially considering that most rape victims know their rapists.
Sure they won't trust people easily and all that but they LIVE.

I think that it depends on the situation. Obviously, both of these things are terrible. This topic is too general for a deep discussion. Are we talking about violent, forcible rape or statutory rape? Are we talking about slaughtering a whole family or killing someone in self defense?

I think ImmortalTech made this thread to shine some light on the severity of rape and how it may not carry the same harsh sentences as murder when it can be just as horrendous. If that was his intention, I do agree.
