College? I didn't study for my exams and my mediocre grades reflected this.

At University I usually start about 6 weeks before Finals, and about 2-3 weeks before Mid Terms. Although to be honest the work-load at University is much more heavier so i'm pretty much studying non-stop during term time.

its about 6 weeks until my final exams now and id like to start studying but we have a fucking dissertation to have finished in 2 weeks time so most of my time is going on that.

We also had projects every week since christmas which made it very difficult to any study all along as most of them were very time consuming. im fed of this bullshit.

Try and create a schedule, i.e spend an hour or two a day on your diss' and an hour or two studying and just stick to it.

A lot of people (myself included) underestimate just how much work and time you have to put in at this level.

Although I suppose that does depend on what you're studying, there are people I know who are in Uni for one and half days a week whereas i'm in everyday.

I'm studying almost everyday. Basically exams are easy if you do that.
We also have exams every month or two (usually practical) and you have to pass them all to be allowed to participate in finals. So basically it's just about practicing more than usual a week or so before finals and really intensively a day before (because I'm always worried at how much I have probably forgot).
I never schedule anything - whenever I get a new task I start doing it till I finish or queue it after something more important I'm doing. I hate leaving things unfinished and I found out that leaving many tasks "for later" is killing me. And I used to do shitloads of procrastination. Now I just do everything "right away" as it's probably the easiest way.

Honestly, studying Music Industry & Business, the night before. I learn throughout the year and live it, so I just need a refresher the night before and I am good.

i never really understood studying. i was always able to coast through school, get average grades, get decent marks on the exams. then there were people who studied like 6 hours a night and only did marginally better than me.

I spent day light hours doing thesis and at night i studied for the exams. Our course leaders gave us more and more time off classes as the semester came to an end

I opted out of university. The kids these days got loads of them brain food drugs you can score, though. I left school to tell you to take some uppers, yep.

college - same day. usually hours before.
university - night before + same day.

i tried once to study weeks in advance and i got a terrible grade. since then i don't trust studying in advance. i think i just work better under pressure.

For the most part I casually study all semester and amp it up 2 weeks or so before finals and mid terms. I find mid terms more stressful as I still have full classes and labs during that time as well as 3 lab assignments on the go.

I normally spend time studying the concepts I didn't grasp rather than stuff that is already sunk in. Most of the time just by attending lectures, I'm able not to worry too much about the exams. Then again, I'm studying media. My study system wouldn't apply to someone studying something like medicine. At least I don't think so.
