Question about Troublesome from How To Be A Player OST

#1
The booklet credits 2Pac and J. Jackson for the song.
Produced by J.Z. and recorded and mixed by Big D - Deon Evans.
'Pac appears courtesy of TNT/Interscope Records, as with all his older stuff.

This track is from '92/'93, right?
Does this make it a remix by J.Z., whilst the original version is by J. Jackson? Did Johnny "J" and Pac hook up before Pour Out A Little Liquor from the Thug Life album?

Also, are we sure that this track and Troublesome 21 (original title for S4MN) have something in common?

Sources are always welcome of course.

Please discuss :)

jj was likely a collaborator or a co-producer who wasn't given credit. this is often the case, as producers buy out the contributing share of others who were involved in the creation of a track; or the original collaborators just relinquish credits voluntarily.

pac and jj knew each other essentially immediately after 2pacalypse now, so it doesn't surprise me that they collaborated. likewise, at that time in music if the track on the soundtrack was a remix we'd have known. ...s4mn mimmicked the minimalist bomb squad production style, and therefore jj's beats were likely not used as they didn't fit the struggler vibe of the album and it's musical compositions.

good question though.

He wasn't credited for the co-producing, you mean? Since he was credited for the song itself (or whatever the correct name for that part of a song is).

They already knew each other after 2N? That's interesting, does it have something to do with Suge and the songs for the soundtrack 'Pac did?

"this was the cover, for the album troublesome. but guess what? time wanna say get it out here! we're working this whole new album, all new flavour im goin back to my roots but im still, sayin, true real g stuff, u know im sayin! so peep the next album. this is a bit temper, so watch this [then he plays flex]"
that was pac saying in the box interview... this proves, that troublesome 21 wanst the original title for s4mn and it proves also, that flex wasnt supposed to be on troublesome 21...

I don't understand your little theory, I think you just made a fool of yourself.

the text in the " ... pac said that in the box interview...
But I don't get it, Pac says "Troublesome" and plays "Flex"... and I've never seen it, but from what I've heard the Troublesome cover looks similar to Strictly's cover... so what's your point?

my point was... pacs talkin bout troublesome album, but the he says he has got a whole new project with a whole new flavour. and one song of this new "flavour" is flex... so flex was made after he recorded the troublesome album.. u get it now?

Ever figure, since the subject of the interview was Troublesome, that "we're working this whole new album" is referring to Troublesome?

That proves nothing for me, but whatever floats your boat.

I don't know what u thinking but Flex was intented for Troublesome.
Troublesome was never released. So later pac worked on S4MN which was basically the same tracks as Troublesome plus a bunch of new ones (don't know for sure) But let Dante end this shit :p

Strictly and Troublesome 21' are two DIFFERENT albums the name didnt just change to Strictly...but the Strictly album did take some of the songs from Troublesome after Time Warner threw out the Troublesome 21' project. Therefore YES a few of the songs from Troublesome 21' appear on Strictly but not all of them or else there would have been no point in starting a new project. But 2pac also recorded all new songs for the Strictly project. There is obviously an official tracklist for the Troublesome 21' project but certain people who have it arent willing to share.

lol you took my statement wrong Dante...i meant that this project was finished and ready to go so there was a solid tracklist, and obviously theres gotta be someone out there who knows what it is but they havent shared it yet
