Some people are blinded by the hate and some by the ignorance. DMX has no need for a disguise. Let the man be what he wants to be.

I'm definately a 90's girl, nothin like the 90's. My disapointment is that I know what Amaru are capable of, they have managed to release good albums with good singles and still sell yet they seem to be going down-hill as the years roll on. They need to stop trying to cater the music according to the current Hip Pop and just put out some decent records.
Well, go work for Lapolt and become her sidekick. Make some moves and succeed at your goal. Go make a difference.

I know that on this forum we all speak English but that ain't my first language. On Serbian, such sentence will be grammatically correct. You see, I speak English but my mind is still mainly influenced by the Serbian grammar. :)

When did I say my goal was to work along side Lapolt making Tupac records? I'm just putting in my opinion as a Tupac fan, am I allowed to do that Mr Pete?

someone bring me up to date, what the hell is so attractive about the new hip hop beats? ones i hear are wack & similar... & why is it that all new urban vidz just have club scenes, girls lookin fine & the latest clothin fashions on show? dont any these 'kids' get sick of that shit & want something else?
shit give me an I Get Around or Keep Ya Head Up vid anyday or at least something that was filmed in the sunshine...rappers these days have to sell images rather than themselves to sell music, kids dont buy it cause they relate to the person, they buy it to be apart of the image...oh i just gotta gotta put this 50 track in the ride & drive to the club, drink some champagne & wear these g-unit clothes...shit i might as well be 50....

i really havent listened to much post 2000 music...i've heard it & tune out instantaneously... in terms of 2pacs latest music releases, whats the difference in Eminem samplin old tracks Edgar Winter & Elton john & Tupacs original choices of Tracy Chapman (Ghetto Gospel) & Prince (Thugs Get Lonely Too) ... tha fact that recent rapstar Eminem did it of course (but he sux at producin? who cares...) i'll take the originals please, & not just cause i like the originals, i have ears..they sound a shitload better..

& there has to be the ethical side brought into consideration, Tupac; & i'd say the same for any dead artist, would we grab a paint brush & touch up an unseen Van Gogh before Auction? Fuck No! why dont we get sum Jimi Hendrix & replace the music with John Mayor & just lace it with his vocals..no... Tupac never heard this music, its his name & his lagacy...when people look back they gonna say well Tupacs music was good, but it fell away at sum point, that previously unreleased stuff sucked no wonda he didnt release it, they may not even realise he hadent even heard it himself...

i'm harping on, in short thread starter, i agree with u :thumb:

a lot of my friends don't know a greatdeal about 2pac and when i tell them bout how old tracks / albums are there quite shocked, they like a few tracks but not many.

i think im living in the past cuz its betta than the shit were hearin these days to be honest. very un-original boring shit. im not saying its all boring etc.. but its not all original like it was back then.

I don't think we live in the past.. and if they think we do then what's so bad bout it? I think that the only one who may care is someone who wanna be "cool" n "trendy". Pac's music in it's original form have class and is for ppl with higher music feeling that don't feel ashamed that they don't listen to "new shit" like 50 sheit etc. Remixing Pac is like remixing Beatles. That's just my opinion.

I still dont understand why people keeps calling rap "hip-hop" when it's sang by rappers instead of emcees.
2pac hasnt made all that much hip-hop in his 25yrs, but used to gain its influences and distribute 'em thru very honorable rap works, so he got his recognition in the hip-hop scenario.
kinda sad to see so many industry people making noise over suckas that barely went close to making a sensed rhyme and sit in a powerful position just because they worked 5 mins in a studio with some supa dupa hip-hop iicon of all times. those dont ever deserve their name to be affiliated with hip-hop imho, but what make 'em tha suckas is the way they expose their pussy in the first place when they claim themselfes to be hip-hop just for the smell of the money when everybody knows the art of hip-hop comes from the rules of the street and the rules of the nature; american blacks gained their ispiration from africans thanks to their mama africa and it's a damn shame how some suckas that came after multiple generations tend to replace this art without having any idea of what they're doing to the hip-hop colture, memory and history.
