Pacs Music Is Old... U Live In The Past

#1
is that how us pac fans are bein made 2 feel now????????

over the last hour i have been speakin with 2 ppl that where listenin 2 hip hop close by 2 me.......

the new shit - might i add...

and its because of these people that we get releases like LTTG trying to bring pac to the 2006 so people can enjoy him now... what is wrong with that????? the beats are out of date, dont fit what is around 2day...

ok, yes they are 10 years old but it fuckin pisses me off that people havent got respect to enjoy the beats produced back then with pac layin his lyrics on that very beat.....

it means nothin 2 them, they'd much rather hear a eminem or lil jon beat with 2pac mixed in with some lethal bizzle and dizzee rascal bullshit verse......

i just felt the need 2 express myself... i could give a fuck if ppl think this is stupid or what... but, im pissed off 4 other reasons and this, just makes me think -

the lack of respect people have got for something that was created back in the day... would people change mozarts music to bring it more up to date???????? i doubt they would, n if they already have then fuck it..

what is the point in having creativity in music if it just gets changed a couple of years later to suit em lil fuckin kids

thats all......

I agree with you 100% on what your saying, but Pac has versatility. He can adapt to almost any form of music and still keep his style (which is a quality that is hard to find in an artist). I don't like the structure of the last 2Pac album. It was done poorly, the sound was bad, most of the beats do not fit pac's orignal style, and the songs sound like 2Pac's vocals was forced onto the instrumentals.

just how i feel too

pisses me off that 1 of my friends likes only 1 pac album: LTTG

ppl listen to sum C-class rappers like 50 (who btw cant speak properly) and shyt

then they wear sum fuccin commercial fubu clothes (the artists are paid to wear that shyt) and pretend they are all that... living the gangsta life

fucc that shyt

think if all elvis fans would wear the kinda clothes he did

bacc to the thing the thread was about:
they shouldnt mix it for the new kids... they claim pacs music is released for the fans... why the fucc do they target it to the kids who were babies when pac was alive... they must be either dumb or liers

Personally, I don't really mind what they're doing because they're trying to expand 2Pac's fanbase by introducing the younger people into it, who are loosing that grasp on 2Pac and being caught onto the 50 Cents and Laffy Taffy's.

The only problem is that Amaru or whatever producer they get to implement this new sound over 2Pac vocals is not implementing it correctly. It sounds like shit compared to some of the og's.

and what happens every time a new pac album drops is:
ppl listen to it and start thinking how the ogs sound like and then they go to bootleggers and shyt and pay their asses broke... and the money usually doesnt go to support pac

maybe pac's music is old, but most new music sucks.

someone who started listening to hip hop in 2000 doesn't count in my opinion.

yep... and most of the new age rap fans turn their coats for sure when the next type of music starts being cool

no wonder since like dante said... new rap sucks (no1 can listen to that for a long period of time)

Think about it...it is likley that all of our parents listen to what we consider "oldies"...so were no different. Most of us Pac fans here will likely be bumpin' All about U and Pain while our grandkids listen on like "wtf is that?"

LoL...it's funny too because I TRY listening to current music. It is frustrating. Just doesn't seem to be the same anymore.

Pac isn't the only older type shit I listen too though...My ipod is loaded up with Wu Tang, BIG,, Nas & JayZ older work.

I have no choice but to agree, the new stuff that is coming out is weak! I haven't purchased an album that was non-Pac related since I bought The Corrupter Soundtrack. Maybe we are getting old and someday our grandchildren will hear what we are playing and have no idea what it is, but it is the music that I love. I don't want to hear Eminem and 50 cent. If I did I would have bought their album. All I want to hear is the original 2pac....period. The young people on this board probably have no real connection to the music and just want to hear the latest single by "Paul Wall" and "David Banner". When I asked my intern what his favorite Pac album was he only had one answer: I only have one 2pac album..."Greatest Hits". That is when I knew I was getting old.

Um i really got into rap in like 99/2000, but it was pretty much just DMX, and then i got into to 2pac and it was all i listened to until like last year. I DONT COUNT?

I stopped just listening to him when I finally bought Illmatic, so all im saying is just because you start after 2000 doesnt mean your irrelavent, you just have to listen to the right shit. I know for a fact that kids now still listen to 2pac, the same way i picked him up 5 years after his death cause his shit is still relavant and mostly easy to relate to(and by relate to i mean songs like me against the world type stuff).
