hahaha yea with a name like desifest, you probably have 90% of vancouver in attendance.

Btw if u guys are running with that same Desi theme in TO make sure you suggest ur promo team to hit up university events hard. Like the semi formals and shit that the Tamil, Pakistani, and Punjabi students associations hold. Honestly thats the main target market right there. Its usually the same crowds that go to all these events (but there's thousands of em)... and since ur going to do it in Sauga, make sure they put up crazy posters at university of toronto - mississauga campus, that schools like 75% desi population.

Montreal-ians, we might be playing there in June. Just heard. Should have confirmation on all Canadian tour dates next week, so far only Mississauga/Toronto and Vancouver are confirmed.
I don't even know if we have such a big Indian community here. Where are you playing here?

Yeah I think the TO festival has that covered. They had 30,000 attendance last year and there are lots of desi acts performing over the course of 3 days from all over the world. We are the main stage headliner on the final night so we're the main attraction of the entire event, but any desi's who aren't already aware of us will probably be drawn in by the other acts performing, whether that be local Canadian desi acts or bhangra dance teams, etc.

The promoters daughter who herself promotes events also, goes to that university so I expect the promotion within the colleges will be top notch as well.

Out fanbase already knows the dates for the festivals also, so there's a good few months for word of mouth to spread too. All in all I think everything is lining up to be one of our biggest shows ever. I mean it's been in organization for well over a year and the ATN and Channel M networks have been running repeats of interviews we did last time we were there too.

I really hope the Montreal show does go ahead. Our booking agent is pretty keen to make it happen. It'll be a week after the Toronto shows from what I've been told, so the last few days of June/first few days of July kinda time frame. You two had better show up! I'll get you on the guestlist of course.
