Never Be Peace OG Question

#1
Just been listening to the original of 'Never Be Peace' and noticed that its the same beat as 'Never Call U Bitch Again' (original version) (You can hear it on 2Pac Live cd). Did pac just use the same beat for both tracks or has someone done a mix and labelled never be peace an original recording?

Thanks

sampling the same songs is no biggie when you record the amount of tracks tupac recorded. troublesome and friends both use the same sample.

yeah they are lol. i'm just saying, though, that there are probably literally thousands of beats out there that samples friends by whodini, but we haven't heard them all because they were never used for finalized tracks. it's not unlikely that catching feelings and never call u bitch again were produced by two different producers that both had their try at sampling that track. i'd have to check my booklets for the original producers when i get off work.

whodini friends... good example....
Nas - If I Ruled the world,
2Pac - Friends and
Warren G, Nate Dogg and Snoop - Friends containing samples and interpretations of it!
The same thing with james brown, he's the most sampled artist

Bone Thugs sampled it too on The Art of War.

never call u bitch again was produced by johnny j it seems. i'm not sure about catching feelings because it says the remix is done by edi, but it doesnt say who produced the original. the only person credited that isn't appearing on the track is "drp" so maybe that's who produced it. appearently there are two different producers on the two tracks, though, because johnny jackson isn't credited as a writer, and if he did produce the original he should have been. mystery solved, case closed.

Both songs sample "Switch - There'll Never Be A Better Love" and if you amplify the beginning of the Never Call U Bitch Again OG pella you would hear that the studio version of the beat sounds even more like Never B Peace OG then the live version does.

And add Fair Xchange OG to the list of songs that sample "Whodini- Friends", lol.
