There's a good chance that Pac shot himself in the balls. Re-read your VIBE biography of Pac, page 60-61 where Stretch (and a gang of other people) reply to Pac's interview. Specifically, Stretch says the following:

the problem with some of you guys is that you haven't read carefully what I have typed earlier - I know damn well that at least 4 wounds were not caused by Tupac himself (I wrote it by myself)

There is really no proof of Tupac shooting himself. I never even heard this before, and this happened 11 years ago.
And if Jimmy stepped to Death Row? He woulda gotten beat down.
Not that Pac could not have shot himself, but if you look at everything that was said... I mean you're thinking of theories, but all we know for sure is that he was shot 5 times, and most likely it was attempted murder by the way it was done.

This debate can go on forever, like Pac said in Resurrection, "Only I was there for the whole thing". The only credible source that can determine what really happened is the guys who were there. If the ballistics tests were stated publicly, then we all would know which bullets from a specific gun shot Pac. Like many people stated before, there is a chance that Pac accidently shot himself in the groin area when he reached for his guns.
If so, oh well, at the point of time anything could have happened. That was a very frightening moment for Pac, his life was in danger. He reacted in self-defense. Rather they came to rob him, kill him or just humilate him, Pac was in a tough situation.
We can all have our own opinions about what "really happened", the only people that really know the truth are the people who were there. No matter if you view him as a Gangsta Rapper, dramatic actor, or whatever. Tupac Shakur the man was the victim.

Jimmy Henchmen is full of shit! Even if Pac shot himself when reachin for his gun in a life or death situation he definately didn't blow his nuts off. His father Billy Garland said in an interview in Biggie & Tupac documentary that the first thing Tupac told him when he came to see him in the hospital that "everything" is in its place and then proved it to him by uncovering the sheet and showing him the wound in the groin area. Garland says he was pleased that his son was "allright".

It is highly possible Pac did shoot himself. Several sources have said the same thing. But of course not all 5. If he did, it was the first one when he went for his gun and shot himself in the groin.
