My Nightmare

I'm scared to sleep.

I had this nightmare last night where I was driving my niece to a carnival, she asked me, "Why do I have to call you uncle? Can I call you dad? It's not like my real dad is around and you've always been there for me" (Keep in mind, she is 7, and her dad has been in and out of Jail her whole life).

and...I basically explained to her that it was her choice, but that her mom might get angry if she called me dad.

Anyway, I'm buying tickets for the rides, and some dude kidnaps her and goes through this mirror maze shit, I run in after her, searching.

I find him and he is torturing her. I can't move for some reason though. Like, I'm soooo fucking pissed and sad, then I wake up.

I'm scared as fuck, go upstairs and check on her even though I know it's a dream. I go back to sleep, and the dream continues.

It starts to get real graphic, but this time, I can move and start to fight with the dude, and he somehow stabs her.

I wake up again, this time crying and sweating.

Now, Re-peat the process, except this time, she is in the car with me again, and she says how much she loves me and wishes for me to be happy. (She always does that, gives me 'handsome' compliments and tells me I need a g/f and weird shit).

So, we start to get to the carnival again, but this time, we get into a car crash and then I wake up.

I gave up, these dreams all happened in like 2 hours, I couldn't go back to sleep. I'm scared to sleep again tonight. :S

Wow now thats a nightmare.

but if you cant sleep, try watching a positive movie, something happy. your mind works subliminaly. you feed your mind good it will result in a good dream and it will push that nightmare out of your mind.

or sit back an read some good sport books and magazines, you could wind up dreaming playing a sport and your on your way to win a championship.

obviously your thinking of your nightmare, try what i said and think of other good things. then you wont think of that.

I'm never lucky enough to dream about one thing - in my dreams I can sit at home, 5 seconds later be chased by men with chainsaws and then teleport into a playboy mansion or whatever.
Also I really rarely remember my dreams.

I hate Nightmares, I shit myself sometimes, because they seem so real. I've seen some shit in my nightmares, real head fuck shit, not excessively violent or whatever, just real like "that some scary shit there".

Once I dreamt through my own eyes, like i was watching what my eyes could see. And basically, this serial killer kept turning up every time i went back to sleep cos i woke up (8 times) every time he killed a person. the bus one was the worst one, when he killed the guy with a screw driver, cos he got off the bus, and look back to window at me and i had direct eye contact. Then id wake up and be terrified.

I find weed is my preferred dream suppressant.

Well when I was little I taught myself to wake up if dreams got too scary. You have to realize your dreaming, then concentrate on opening your eyes. Like, even if your eyes are open in the dream, try opening them wider.

Try thinking nice thoughts before you sleep and do some research on lucid dreaming.

I once was having a nightmare and knew I was dreaming, so I woke myself up and the exact same thing was happening in real life around me, so I went back to sleep.

^Not me. I've never had a dream/nightmare where it woke me up and I was shivering, crying, sweating, etc.
Neither have I. I find I rarely remember dreams for more than 10 or 15 minutes after waking up.

The weirdest thing I've had happen to me in a dream is getting my throat slit and not waking up. Basically me and my dad were trying to escape from jail (no idea why we were there) and were going seperate ways. I was going to sneak out with the dirty laundry (don't ask) but the guard found me and slit my on throat on sight. I remember not being able to breath and blood everywhere, I was scared as fuck when i woke up but quickly went back to sleep.

I love nightmares. There is something about irrational fear that is just, divine.
Once, I had a nightmare that a little dead girl (I was like, six) or her ghost, I guess it would be, was chasing me through my house. I locked her in my bedroom, which was at the end of our long hallway, and ran. She came through the fucking wall (!!!) and cut me off in the hallway. This scared the shit out of me and I woke up. After I awoke, I was mad at myself for not finishing the dream, so I quickly made myself go back to sleep, and finished the dream. Turns out, I locked her in the basement and for some reason she couldn't come through the basement walls.

But, it would be much scarier to lose a loved one in a dream, such as Shadows' dreamed.
