yeah that's what i heard and have heard for years, that he was supposed to play O-Dog. but i've also heard about him playing Sharif. i guess you'd have to ask the Hughes Bros. to know for sure.

but didn't he attack them because they had already promised him the role, then turned around and gave it to someone else (either Larenz Tate or Vonte Sweet, depending on what role it was)?

he was suppose to play shariff...he muslim guy.the hughes brothers had an interview on allhiphop.com a while back and the said "every1 thinks he was suppose to play o-dog but he wasnt...he was suppose to play shariff"

but wasnt pac mad cause he wanted a smaller role and that was the argument that led to the fall out with the hughes brothers... seems like i heard that somewhere

i'm pretty sure it was that the hughes brothers promised him the lead role when they were pitching the film to garner more interest from studios (because Pac was already a relatively big name at that point, and studios obviously want a big name attatched to their projects), but once the hughes brothers secured a deal, they re-cast Pac as either O-Dog or Sharif (judging by that allhiphop interview, i'm guessing it was sharif). So understandably Pac was upset over his name being used to sell a film and about being bamboozled by the hughes.
