Loyal to the game a "SUCCESS!!!

#1
I was just thinking about it and what other posthumous album with previously unreleased material (excluding makaveli) has:
1. Been a U.S number 1 over Christmas.
2. Had a number 1 single in the UK for weeks on end.
3. Had a number 1 single in Australia which has been in the top 20 for about 3 months.

The single I know here has got people talking about tupac again and has people wanting to find out more about him. So in my opinion I think Amaru would see this album as a commercial success.
Im expecting this to get a firey reaction to this post but your Opinions please??

Even without having a video and no promotion it still managed to sell, it turned some kids at my school into fans.

Really this album gets way too much hate, so many people make a big deal out of Eminem puttin words in Pac's mouth, the just GOTTA have somethin to bitch about.

the album was plain shit, but it did good, it created new fans by having mroe mainstream material, so now if they put out more real stuff, it will sell better because of this album so in the long run it was a good strategy.

their attempt to draw a new fanbase by sharing some of em's worked, but it also segregated most of the loyal fans who had been supporting pac over the years.

Yea... they got the mainstream's attention, now it's time to release a full album of untouched material, that'll patch things up.

True, but some of those "kids" may end up to be hardcore pac fans and the next Dante may emerge haha. If the next album is anything close to Better Dayz i'll be pretty damn happy.

Its been 9 years, people that hold out hope for an "untouched" Tupac album are as dillusional as people who hold out hope that Tupac will return.

Well, another R U Still Down would be good. It doesn't have to be completely untouched.

^ I knew people like you would come along and infect this thread with those types of posts. We were not saying if the album was bad or not it was clearly stating whether or not it reached it's objective, which was commercial success to bring more young kids into the pac seen.
Also with Dante's statement, they know that the loyal fans will always be there, so when they drop something the longtime fans are happy with they'll have both us and the new people purchasing the album because of cd's like Loyal to the game.

loyal to the game was a step back from both resurrection as far as em and pac, and a step back for 2pac fans and Amaru itself, and while they may not be soon to release an og album, another rusd, bd, or still i rise would be more than acceptable to me

^^ So? How is that a good thing?

It sold out 'Pac's legacy in order to sell a few more copies. Amaru should be ashamed, they have no idea what Tupac stood for.
