Last 2pac Album, Afeni To Go With Makaveli Name!!

#21
Heard a rumor that it was being produced by original producers of his stuff, like Johnny J, Shock G (hes out of the game so I guess thats a negative) , Quik (who did appear once on LTTG in a sub par remix) , etc. This true? or just rumored.

What I think would be the most amazing thing Afeni could ever do to elevate her son is sell a collection of OG's. All the OGs in CDQ. That would be somewhere like 18-19 double albums. I would buy each and every one. She would make all the money she wanted, while letting 2Pacs music flow as intended. There is no downside to that.

She could release them in chronological order and we could hear the progression as the years went on and with his pre DR and DR days. But alas that will never happen.

It would be smart for her to use the name Makaveli if this is the last album to tie in Makaveli Branded in the new fans minds, as that will be her source of income in the future.

If I'm not mistaken Pac said he used to try to do 3 songs a do. So you do the math. Lets start from October of 95 up until lets say September 1, 1996, which is 11 months. What we have leaked to us is only a portion of his music. Matter of fact, lets make it easier. Lets say 2pac was to do one song a day. That would mean 30 songs a month. If you times that by 11 thats about 330 songs.

30x11=330

So far Afeni has released
RUSD-That was pre-deathrow, but lets add this as some of his released work anyway. Lets make it 30 songs
Still I Rise-Lets make it 20 songs.
Until The End Of Time-Lets make it 30 songs
Better Dayz-Lets make it 30 songs
Loyal 2 Da Game-Lets make it 20 songs
4 songs on 2pac's Greatest Hits-4

Do the math people: 30+20+30+30+20+4=134 songs. If you add 134 songs to lets say another 30 songs that will show up on the new album. 134+30=164 songs

That means Afeni has only released only 164 songs out of his 330 songs. And this is only a rough estimate.

If you look at all the repeat songs on all his posthumous albums and reduce the 30 songs from 2pac's rusd album, then that means she has only technically put out less than 130 songs of pac's deathrow material. And I think Pac definitely did more than 330 songs on deathrow even though I always hear that Pac only left 250 songs.

Now take away 130 songs out of 330 songs. 330-130=200. If you add back in the lets say 30 songs from RUSD then its 170 songs that Afeni has to work with and release.

Remember Pac made more than 330 songs if he could've really made 3 songs a day, so that means Afeni has more than 170-200 songs left to put out.

Afeni has more than 170-200 songs to put out. In fact twice as much as that amount.

There are tons of songs that Afeni will have to release!! So Afeni has tons of work and material to put out.

Damn, your math is on point!!. You must've been in A+ student in math. Its true though there are hundreds off songs that Afeni will need to release. This last 2pac album thing could be some type of trick or gimmick to tie makaveli in with the clothing line, but Afeni doesn't know how to promote or market, so pac going back under the Makaveli name is questionable.

If you were to actually multiply the 3 songs 2pac did a day by the 30 days in almost every month then that would make 90 songs a month. And if you were to multiply 90 times the 11 months on deatrow then that is 990 songs, which you can say is a thousand songs he recorded.

But a 1000 songs is too much though. Because in the midst of all that recording he was going on vacations/trips, shooting 3 movies, videos, promotions, visiting his p/o, and award shows, so I dont think he was in the studio everyday and if he did go in the studio I don't think he could've always done 3 songs a day, so I'd assume with all the workload he had, he made a total of about 600-700 songs. Even Daz said Pac did about 700 songs, but you still make a point that there is 100's and 100s of songs that Afeni will need to release.

But another question is how much of Pac's stuff was stolen. Daz stole some of Pac's stuff and maybe deatrow only gave Afeni a small portion of his work. So who knows maybe Afeni is running out of material that was given to her.

I enjoyed your math by the way though.

I strongly disagree that it will be the last album released. I believe she is going to release the last 2pac album - the rest will be named MAKAVELI.

come on now
loyal to the game sucked
but the rest of the remix albums were very much listenable

ofcourse we rather have the OGs

pac was a busy man
i'd say he did 1 song every 3 days on average...

the Makaveli title idea would be a good idea considering that currently we have MAKAVELI BRANDED spreading like crazy I Think...so people would be more acquinated wit that term as they have been in 1996! True ?

The name 'Makaveli' will not help sell the album as much as the name '2Pac' will because '2Pac' is more known. a lot of people who listen to 2pac dont even know who makaveli is.

If you wanna help sell the album, stick with the name '2Pac'.
IMO just knowing about Makaveli will gain interest. Your right most people don't know about Makaveli, but if they did, they would think Pac was even more dope than he already is. Dontcha think?

That is the Marketing Scam! not the use of the Name Makaveli, she is saying "This is his last album" Bunch of Buzz will come from that, probably push up sales a bit.

then in 3 years they will put out "One Nation" or Special Edditions of his CD's with Bonus Tracks or maybe the fan favorite a BIG ASS BOX SET!

not gonna use the Makaveli name.

Although using the Makaveli pseudonym wouldn't be the best decision sales-wise compared to using the 2Pac name, a lot of you guys act like nobody except us knows that Makaveli is 2Pac. Let's not forget that the Makaveli album has been certified 4X Platinum to date, so you can assume that there are at least four million people who know that Makaveli is Pac. More than likely, there are more people who can make the connection nowadays.

But think back to when Makaveli was released. Death Row was putting out all sorts of posters and shit saying "2Pac is Makaveli" so people would know before hand. I remember seeing in the Best Buy weekly ad that week that it said "MAKAVELI" in big letters, but before it in smaller letters, it said "(2Pac)," and if it were to happen again, I'm sure Best Buy and other stores would do the same. I remember going to Best Buy and looking at the CD thinking, "What the fuck is this, this doesn't really look a lot like a Pac album and it doesn't say Pac anywhere on it, but whatever," and I bought it anyway, and I was 13 at the time. The Makaveli name has potential, but the decision makers (Afeni, Amaru Records, certain Outlawz, etc.) aren't wise enough to exploit it properly.
