L.T.T.G./ 2pacalypse Now

#1
Anyone else notice the similarities? In relation to the words Tupac uses. I popped 2pacalypse Now on, eve of today, and every other track he's saying the same thing as on LTTG. Like he's took his lyrics from those songs and revamped them. Is this Eminem's intention for it to sound this way, like he's making an album by moulding it around another.

The tracks are from pre-DR era. The tracks are mainly leftovers from 2pacalypse now and S4MN. That was the time when 2pac was very political.

Those tracks were intended for those albums, but cut or replaced. That's why they sound similar. Same era.

I find this hard to believe. Em may have used samples from 2pacalypse; but 10 year old tapes ??

It depends how they store the recordings. The tapes may be 10 years old, they may have transferred the recordings.

Either way, Eminem used recordings from 1991 - 1994.

2pacalypse was planned to be a double disk album

I don't think so.

There was enough tracks to do a double disk, but I don't think there was a plan.

To do a double album was unheard of then. And for a debut cd to be double disc, crazy.

Amaru records is on 2pacalypse so I can understand Amaru getting the profits.

Thats 5 years after 2Pacalypse Now was released. If we are saying from a 1991 - 1994 era, shouldn't it really be up to 1996? How can anyone be certain of how old the masters were in the first place. Is Thug 4 Life an odd one out among earlier produced tracks.
Sounds like Em got the butt end of the stick, isn't there any tapes left from Tupacs Death Row days. It sounds like the barrel is being scraped to me; although i'm not convinced that's the case.

It was a pre DR album so that DR could claim none of the money and have no creative influence. It also used up a few of the tracks left over from 91 - 94. Death Around the corner was Pre-DR. The albums pre DR were 2pacalypse, S4MN, Thug Life, MATW. All the tracks not used on these could go on LTTG. There are still hundreds of tracks left from DR days. Damn I miss www.2pacshakur.org.
