^Honestly, this post was like so 2002 era.
I couldn't believe nobody took the chance to say the typical answer, so I figured it's only right that I do it, given my previous e-history.

Anyways you buttbunch, fucking log on AIM, so we can have a GOOD SEXY conversation, you piece of shit.

I'm currently running 5k in 25 minutes. I'm trying to lower my time.

Apparently the best way to run is barefooted since we evolved to run for extremely long distances. Having padding on our feet that "cushion" fuck with our natural movements and cause injuries. I've never had a problem with running yet because I run on Nike Frees which barely have any padding.

Jogging is horrible for your shins if your doing it everday. I'd recommend using the ellipitical, if you own a gym membership. If not, be really careful and take care of yourself or you will regret it.

I was going to the gym 4 times a week during the summer and now I haven't gone for almost 4 weeks :(. I can't seem to find the time and the sad part is, the gym i go to is at my university.
i wonder how why running is bad on the shins, i mean i understand the leg muscles do a lot of work but one day or so a few weeks ago my shin bone had minor pain

one of the reasons i choose to run is to get out the house and to get myself outdoors in the open air. i'd only go to a gym if i were to take up muscle training or weightlifting. surely running on a treadmill has all the same cardiovascular and fitness benefits, but it has no sense of 'travelling' and being out in the open air.

'travelling' in itself i find has certain mental benefits and helps to clear the mind, such as the phrase 'going for a walk to clear my head'.

I hate cardio altogether, but for my cardio I usually play basketball. It gets your cardo in, and it's kind of even in HIT form. I think I hate running because it is sooo boring. Even with your Ipod everything just gets redundant. If you do take up jogging, don't do it on a treadmill, that is brutally routine. Run some trails or even the roads.
when you work out lifting weights though, surely you concentrate on your breathing while doing such exercises, isn't that something to do with your cardio also?

I jog quite often. I play soccer and b ball so I run a lot. I do a lot of plyo and what not as well. If youre happy with a 10 minute mile
i had more stamina when i was ten years younger and wouldn't take much for me to regain that back. for the past year i have done no exercise, i used to cycle a lot as my main form of exercise, i would cycle 15 miles a day. but since having a car i have become lazy and drove everywhere, even drive to the corner shop to buy crumpets for breakfast

I run, but only during footy season
don't professional footballers still train out of season?

Try to mix it up. Jogging, sprints, long distance, etc.
before when i used to jog on a road, steady jog past five lamp posts and sprint the next five and so on

I used to but I've gotten out of the habit. I'm thinking about starting up again soon.. I like running in crisp air vs hot and humid. Plus no insects to smack into your face during the colder weather :)
after my run i usually try to count how many green flies i have caught on my shirt

No because I have flat feet and I get shin splints every single time. I have a bike though...I'd rather do that.
cycling is good for stamina exercise, i cycled everywhere for over ten years before i got a car because i despise taking public transport

I jog around the road or through fields sometimes. i couldnt go on a treadmill. Its better to be outdoors imo. especially in rain and cold weather. it will make you mentally stronger.

There was a time when i could run about 8 miles without stopping. now i can do just do 2 before i need to stop for a breather.

Make sure you stretch well beforehand.

you must be pretty fit if you plan to enter the marathon?
i used to have more stamina before i stopped cycling. there is a London charity run for Chef's to take part in february next year, some of my colleagues are interested and the general manager of the hotel i work is even going to pay for us to take part in the event. it gives me more of an incentive to keep jogging and train for the event, if i do and complete that then there is a sheffield half marathon run after that, so plenty of time to build up some stamina

Asics trainers are recommended for running on hard surfaces.

try and find a playing pitch somewhere. id imagine there is one around your area
i've got some Nike ACG training shoes, and go jogging round a lake

i LOVE jogging and running. great way to clear your mind and release stress. excellent for circulation of oxygen to your brain and muscles too.
i agree.

Only when the police is involved.
aren't you too old to be running from the police, not to mention pussy whipped?

I had shin splints twice, it hurts like a motherfucker. Probably the second most uncomfortable thing I've ever experienced, just behind wisdom teeth removal.

It feels like your leg is swollen, but it really doesn't look it. You know the feeling when your leg is asleep? Imagine that from the knee down, only instead of it feeling numb, it hurts like a motherfucker.

Sometimes when I play basketball I get pain in my shins like the bone is breaking.. I seem to get it more when I run on uneven surfaces.. so fuck jogging. I dont mind walking if its like in a National Park or something, somewhere interesting not just the everyday stuff..

When I was younger I played Netball few times I couldn't walk after the game my knee's hated me.
