IT or IM

Ok, as few of you might know I study at the institute of information technology (computer science).

Now I'm stuck between choosing what do I want to study there.
I'm stuck between IT (computer science) and IM (information management).

Thing is that I wanted to be a computer scientist but I see that it's hard as hell here. Shitloads of maths and programming might be just too much for me to handle.
I hate studying maths.
Thinking about abount of education just gets me depressed.
Information management is slightly easier but also different.
Anyway my main cause is that in the future I plan to move abroad (America? Australia?) and I would like to know will I get a good work there as an information manager?
I study in a Polish-Japanese institute so basically computer scientists from here can get work anywhere, information management is a new faculty here and I don't know should I risk studying there or not.

The main difference is that IT is basically programming, robotics, software engineering and databases, multimedia, intelligent data processing systems etc.
while IM is macro- and microeconomics, some programming and computer science, econometrics, statistics, management and marketing techniques, design and administration of information systems etc.

I'm a bit worried. IM is something I know is easier to handle for me as they don't do shitloads of difficult computer stuff and there's more to just sit with a book and study instead of spending weeks working on something hard using pc.

If you want to say - "study what you think you like more" I have to say both are so-so for me. I would like IT diploma slightly more but process of studying would be a hardcore for me.

Information management is rather new here so I don't know much about work after that.

Stick with IT.

Funny you might be moving here, Im going to move to Warsaw for about a year sometime soon... Cost of living is so much cheaper and I still get paid here so going to live there, save cash, and bounce to LA to study/do an internship.

Do both diploma's go for the same amount of time?

I surpose you will just have to ask yourself what you see yourself as when you finish. You shouldn't choose IM just because it is the easier option, you may not enjoy it.
I suggest you find out what type of work Information management can lead into before you make your decision.

Thanks.

I'm just not sure if I will be able to handle IT, that's why I thought about the easier way. I'm an it noob while most people who start studying here are already masters.

I plan to move abroad after I finish my studies (at least 4 years).

Also I have absolutely no idea what I could do after Information management. I thought somebody here might know that :p

I was also thinking about Economy but my guess is it's also less reasonable than IT.
