i think if they would have kept them original in the first place, and kept releasing albums every year original from when he died, they still would have sold good, but like someone said they gone too far so the majority of his fans probably expects the new 2pac album with the "popular" artists, but on the other hand a lot of his ogs are leaked so releasing them og doesnt make sense to them, lol maybe dante can send em a letter with a list of ogs what are leaked so the ones that arnt can be released in og form :D

on a side note if pacs songs would have never leaked when he died, like none what so ever, and all we had was the songs coming out now, would we still be complaining as much? it reminds me of when growing up as a kid watch a certain film, u love it.. and when they remake it 20 years later or whatever, you hate the remake, or say pshh cant beat the original

What's sad is that nobody is speaking up to Amaru about this blatant destruction of his legacy. Where is Shock, Snoop, Suge, Thug Life, DPG, Boot Camp Click, Danny Boy, DJ Quik, and most of all Johnny J? How come nobody is saying anything about this except the fans? Johnny J probably has worked on more Pac songs than anybody. He should be first in line in trying to explain to Afeni that you're losing the spirit of his songs when you remix them. Another thing that blows my mind is how the Source and XXL magazines don't report this obvious mishandling of his legacy. In fact, correct me if I'm wrong, didn't the September Source sort of bash all og songs saying how the majority of the songs shouldn't have been released at all. Why can't anybody see what's going on here? It must be some kind of conspiracy.

Yeah, fuck them for not circling in front of the Amaru offices with picket signs chanting "We want OGs!".

Mopreme did complain, and look what happened to him. He was reduced to "our level." They don't even acknowledge him anymore, this thing has ruined his relationship with Afeni.

At the time Loyal to the Game came out, he was so upset about being taken off of his tracks without his permission, 2pac's OWN FREAKING STEPBROTHER, that he gave an interview to this site, and he also contacted me after I made my petition through his publicist.

What makes me feel better is to just listen to the OGs, the fan-made remixes, the OG Vibes, and watch the DVDs and bump RUSD, Still I Rise, and the tracks he made while he was here. That's all we can do.

Oh, and buy Dante's tributes :)

I miss the days we would all bitch about something simple like them taking out pac saying "death row". i wasn't thrilled with uteot and better dayz at the time of their release, but little did i know how far downhill we'd go from there. i'd kill for lttg and this new album to be on that level.

my biggest issue is I thought they had a successful formula goin w/ until the end of time and better dayz, using alotta good producers pac worked with and some he didn't, alotta new material, alotta guests, but MOST being people pac woked with, replacing the hooks (underdstandable, alotta tracks were unfinished w/out a real hook or keeping the hooks would mean serious sample clearing). but honestly I thought they both sounded like albums pac would've made if he was still alive, now lttg was a disaster, eminem's terrible production, changing the pitch n tempo of pac's vocals to fit his "production" altering pac's words and an overload of bad guest appearances. I just hope this album is alot better than lttg, and at least production-wise IMO it already is from the singles. i hope they noticed lttg was pac's least successful posthumous album and realized that was a bad direction to go in. and I do agree w/ wat alotta people have said that the album would deffinetly sell as well if not better if it was more of a solo album w/ none of theses current guests.alot of rap artists put out successful mainstreme albums w/ few to none, and usually get better reviews which only helps sales, but it winds up looking more like a tribute compilation wen u fill each track w/ guests he never met or would've worked with, it winds up like taht biggie duets album, which sounded like a bad mixtape. sorry for the rant people, I tend to do that, I'll have soemthing to say and not know wen to end my thought.

For your 1st post:thumb: I and many already agree. SIR, UTEOT and BD are classics in my mind now, except for a few songs, like Jazze Pha's songs and thug in me & let em have it remixes

I think we are seeing a Elvis type thing going on, over time we will soon we'll have Pac verses on trance and dance tracks, mixed up and whore'd out to any producer, over exposure of the same verses is guna be a real problem.

I don't think we would have a problem with a remix album of these songs with today's rappers, thats not the issue here.

The issue here is and always will be we wanted all of Pac's work as close to og as you could get it for the purist fans, bring it out, let us have it all, THEN go and mix it, play with it, put who you want on it, just give us what we wanted first, pure og.

We have so much emotion and heartache because we seeing Pac's music fu*ked up, without us hearing the og versions, thats at the heart of the matter for me.

At the end of the day, as with most things in life its about making the most money you can, not with what people actually want.

Although in a funny way, if Amaru announced they was going to release a boxset of all the unreleased work with a og vibe (to clear various legal issues) It would probably be the biggest seller they had for a very long time........
