Insomnia

FuCK.

It seems like every month, I have only a few days where I don't feel like I have insomnia.

I stay up to like 3-4am, not doing nothing.

Then wake up at 6:45 am for school. It seems like I'm sleepy in class but paying attention.

By the time I drive home I'm wide awake but feel so tired. :( Tired enough where I don't feel like I can do my homework.

It seemed like working out was helping me a TON in getting sleep, but I noticed that if I don't work out, I can't sleep.

:notrust: FML. :suspicious:

Please, don't recommend pills. :*(

I cant relate to your situation.

Whenever i want to sleep, i just lay down and sleep. Simple as that. Actually, sleeping became something like a hobby recently.

That sucks man. I couldn't imagine that. It takes me an hour to fall asleep but if i don't get my 6-8 hours I'm a grouchy mother fucker.

I've had insomnia all my life. I used to be lucky to get just an hour of sleep. I have always refused to take pills in fear of getting hooked on them so I'm guessing that's why u don't wanna take them? One thing that always seemed to work for me was I would take a warm shower right before I was trying to fall asleep and as I laid there in bed I would listen to slow music (ie; Chicano oldies, classical, rnb) anything really slow would usually relax me enough to cause me to fall asleep.

Why not? They're really nice.

Seriously though, I'm a light sleeper and I've had sleeping problems all my life so I know how you feel. If I were you I would try to figure out why you can't sleep - stress, change of diet, depression? Why did you stop working out if it was helping? Maybe that's what you need to do to sleep, why stop?

Try not to to worry too much, I find that that makes it even worse and it makes me afraid to go to bed because I know I won't fall asleep.

For those saying that I should keep working out, well; i didn't. It's just that I cant work out everyday.

I don't think I'm stressed or depressed. Hitting the gym relieves any stress I may have.

@DP: That warm shower thing worked for me in the past, not no more. The music thing will always wake me up after about 30 mins...and yah, taking pills makes me scared of getting addicted.

@artsy: I hate doctors and they always waste my time always talking about irrelevant shit.

..and lol @ masturbation and blow up doll.

give up coffee if you drink it regularly. i find that after a couple of months of drinking coffee, i find it hard to sleep and my muscles are twitching and shit.

Sleeping during the day doesnt help either.

It usually takes me a while to fall asleep. mainly because im always thinking of stuff. I find it very hard to get out of bed in the morning though.

I always find music helps when I cant sleep, like someone already said some chilled mellow music, put the ipod on turn the lights out and close my eyes and Im soon out.

This shit works for me
