Insomnia

since i started Jogging regularly last year i noticed that i sleep less hours in a day, i believe it is something to do with regular exercise lowering the heart rate. such as if you exercise regularly you will lower your BPM heart rate in general, and this will effect your whole metabolism in more ways than one, including sleep.

this guy knows what you're going through:

This sounds like a good background music for a gay orgy.

just learned in my lecture yesterday that sleep deprivation doesnt always affect cognitive performance as much as we make out to.

but.... i do know that deprivation hinders brain development. so get some sleep. preferably 8 hours, though its not essential. i'd say get 4-5 hours at least if you can.

try continuing the gym or working out. i think if you do then that will be a win-win situation because:

1. you keep fit
2. you get sleep

the only downside is that it may be time-consuming for you. but it will be time well spent if it makes you feel happier. and it should, because you are taking care of your health in two different context's of health. mental and physical.

maybe it's because you're conscious of your insomnia, and that hinders you from being able to fall asleep? meaning, you keep thinking "damn I wonder if I'll fall asleep" or "i hope I fall asleep tonight" or anythign of that nature - and because you're conscious of it, you don't sleep.

the track title 'insomnia' is misleading on behalf of maxi jazz's beliefs as a Buddhist where the state of Nirvana is believed to feel like being awake constantly

Deep in the bosom of the gentle night
Is when I search for the light
Pick up my pen and start to write
I struggle, I fight dark forces in the clear moonlight
Without fear
Insomnia
I can't get no sleep
I used to worry
Thought I was going mad in a hurry
Getting stressed, making excess mess in darkness
No electricity, something's all over me, greasy
Insomnia please release me
And let me dream of making mad love to my girl on the heath
Tearing off tights with my teeth
But there's no release, no peace
I toss and turn without cease
Like a curse, open my eyes and rise like yeast
At least a couple of weeks since I last slept, kept taking sleepers
But now I keep myself pepped
Deeper still, that night
I write by candlelight, I find insight
Fundamental movement, huh, so when it's black
This insomniac, take an original tack
Keep the beast in my nature
Under ceaseless attack
I gets no sleep
I can't get no sleep
I can't get no sleep
I can't get no sleep
I need to sleep, I can't get no sleep
I need to sleep, I can't get no sleep

not completely misleading..

I get the point you are making.. But it's there to be interpreted in whatever way the person listening wants. Before your post it was just about insomnia, now it can be both. Still wicked song.

yeah it is i have the long album version on greatest hits cd version i keep in my car. different lyrics, same song:

uh, uh uh ...
yeah, i only smoke weed when i need to
and i need to get some rest, yo
where's the cess'
i confess, i burned a hole in the mattress yes
yes it was me, i plead guilty
and at the count of three
i pull back the duvet
make my way to the refridgerator
one dry potato inside, no lie
not even bread, jam
when the light above my head went bamn!
i can't see
something's all over me, greasy
Insomnia please release me
And let me dream about making mad love on the heath
Tearing off tights with my teeth
But there's no relief
i'm wide awake in my kitchen
it's black and i'm lonely
oh if only i could get some sleep
creaky noises make my skin creep
i need to get some sleep
i can't get no sleep
