I want to know. What would you rather have?

Ladies I wanna know. If you were with a man and you loved him more than anything in the world. Would it matter to you weather or not he gave you fake jewlery as a gift or are you the type of lady that wants real diamonds and real sappires and real Ruby's and real pearls? Now I'm not talking about no fake ass $0.25 cent gorocery store vending machine piece of jewlery but, something of a little more financial cost but still nothing 100% real..

I'm asking because I am just curious to find out if the financial value of a gift coming from your boyfriend matters or if as long as it came from his heart is the more important thing. I mean would it matter to you if he could or couldn't afford a real diamond ring or real diamond earrings?

That's all. Just Curious.
Thanks

No I wouldnt, I think if any woman expects that she must want him working 24/7 or doing illegal activities in order to pay for that, and I dont see that as love. The intentions behind the gift is more important than the value.

Of course no-one is going to say something other than the stock-standard, politically correct - No.

I'm gonna look at the question differently. If the guy was an honest, hard-working and thoughtful guy then of course, I'd never demand "the best." But if he was lazy or a bum or something which is why he didn't have any money, then I wouldnt really want to be with him. (I like people who have motivation in their lives). Or he had a lot of money but bought me a shitty, thoughtless gift, I would perhaps be offended.

My boyfriend works hard and whilst he doesnt have heaps of money, he went out of his way to buy me diamonds for christmas and I blew my budget buying him a swiss watch... it wasnt because we would value each other more for buying expensive gifts... but we want the best for each other, will work hard for it and it's satisfying to know you can do that for someone.

(I think there was like 3 separate points in this post.... oh well, whatever, lol).

I wouldn't buy my b.f. fake jewelry...and I wouldnt EXPECT ANYTHING from him in the first place...

Fake rubys and pearls..eh whatever...but I really don't want any fake diamonds or gold...that's kinda tacky.

And I'd much rather have something made or thoughtful before jewelry...

yes but see last xmas my bf bought me underwears and brought me to the restaurant and to the movies after. i bought him a xbox 360. obviously my gift is way more expensive than his, BUT i can't care less cause i knew he couldn't afford more and i was okay with that.

of course though fake jewelry is a big no no.

I am the type of lady who prefers real jewelry. With that said, I do not think that the financial value of a gift matters. If he can't afford to buy me a real gold necklace then he doesn't need to. I do not demand gifts, but if someone gives me jewelry as a nice gesture, then yes I would prefer it to be real. I'm not with him to get gifts. I'm with him because he's good in bed :D j/k
