My Aunty has cancer (of the pancreas)

She had an operation about 2 weeks ago to remove her spleen and the tumor in her pancreas - they also had to remove part of the pancreas. She has had to wait since then for the results.

They told her not to worry as they were almost certain it wasn't cancer. They couldn't have been more wrong.

Oh my god... My grandmother has been diagnosed with pancreas cancer too... It's super rare.

She never drank in her life nor smoked!

It was because of some medicaments and she had it for 10 years now.

Patrick Swayze has it too.

My story was even dumber...

6 weeks ago she went to the hospital to get x-rays of her lungs because one of her symptoms was water in lungs.

The doctor said that it was some cardiac problems and nothing else... Definitly not cancer.

She had 5 weeks to send her xrays and her analysis to our family doctor, who is also a cardiologist and he was convinced that it wasn't her heart because it was functioning at 93% of its capacity)... she didn't do it.

Last week when we brought her to the hospital she came in and said that we need to do xrays and explain the same god damn thing she did last time. She knew that she didn't do it right/didn't do anything.

She got taken off the case and the hospital apologized for her.

I want to abuse her legaly. Stupid fucktard.

My grandma died of that cancer (pancreas):/
damn you too...

The thing with this cancer is that it is really hard to find, because the pancreas is hidden in between all the other organs during xrays.

95% of people who have this cancer die of something else, because it is an extremely slow cancer.

It just makes the whole system not work well. Like my grandmother, her lungs are not functioning well...especialy she had tuberculosis back in 1948 after WW2 and her left lung is working at 67%.

She couldn't have lived a more healtier life style and she's going to die from this...

What sucks with me is that my other grandmother is really ill too...

I'm in big time shit people lol.

I never talk about these things on this forum but...damn...

My gramps passed away due to Pancreatic cancer also.

As hizzle mentioned, it's not that pancreatic cancer is such a bad form of cancer; it's just that by the time you get a symptom of it, the cancer has spread to more vital organs, like liver, kidney, lungs, etc. And that's what you die from.

I am going through something similar.

I am sorry to hear that and i know this sucks a lot and it's very hard.

What i have was told is that the person going through cancer needs to be in a very positive mental state. What you could do is maybe try to put a smile on your aunts face and keep her happy while she is going through the therapy to increase her chances.

My aunty is lucky she had pancreatitis first otherwise they wouldn't have found it.

I'm sorry for all of you who have a relative who is having cancer or have a relative who died from it. Cancer sucks, I think one of my aunt died from pancreas cancer as well.

At least they caught it at the very beginning.

yeah Menace... I would like to know what my... JESUS CHRIST KATIE CHANGE THAT PICTURE IN YOUR SIG!!!!!... grand mother is dying from and what will it cause...

I basicaly repeated what her doctor told us...

Anyways, pancreas creates enzymes, who help your stomach use the vitamins and the rest of that stuff in food that helps your body generate energy and such.

So you can't really live without it... My grandmother went from 65kg to 55kg in 20 days
