Today on hot 97's morning radio show, it was reported in their celebrity news that Amaru reached out to Def Jam/Rocafella to get in contact with Jay-Z to appear on 2Pac's double disc album which is slated to be released on Decemeber 1st, but that Jay-Z declined the offer. There was no word on why Jay declined the offer, but the hosts made a joke and said "Biggie 4 Life".
Now I'm not sure where the news reporter, DJ envy got his source from, but I believe he didn't pull it out of this out of his ass also. He has ties to the industry and connections so I take his words. But he's reported other things such as 50 exec. producing this upcoming 2pac album and I haven't seen a source for it and am not fully sure if I truely believe so. I'm not saying it's all out true or false, but I believe what he's saying though.
My point is that I hope Amaru gets the message that begging big time artists, especially artists that Pac had not so kind words for to appear on his new album is pathetic. And I'm very happy that Jay-Z declined the offer to appear on a track next to 2Pac. I hope they get some kind of a clue.
