This might have been posted, but regardless:

The craziest thing is, the guy in the truck didn't even get injured. I'd be pissed off at the bank, though it's not exactly smart on the part of the driver to try and fit under that roof.

yeah I've already seen it from people telling how shitty American buildings are.
This is far from the truth. American building are built strong enough to last until they decide to blow the shit to a rubble. That's the American way.

The drive thru roofs being "open" and lacking a few pillars isn't the problem. The problem is the ignorance of Americans - "HEY, lets go on a camping trip and drag this mammoth mobile home with every bit of modern technology in it, because we love the outdoor so much, we love the outdoors as long as we get our ice cold bubbly and a bubble bath to go with it! YEA"
"But dad how are we going to move this mobile mammoth?"
"Simple son, we'll buy a gas guzzling tank of a truck to pull it, plus it'll make our dicks look bigger than it actually is!"

A lawsuit? Are you fucking kidding me?

He ran his motor home into a building, lmao. I can't run into the 7/11 wall head-first and claim money, wtf?

America is the society of the meek and the treacherous.

Like Salty made a point of, it's not reasonable to expect an American to take the right precautions in any dire situation, and so the law is adjusted to that fact by allowing ridiculous law suits.

(to ill)
well, it was clearly stable until some douche decided to slam his mobile home into it. the only natural cause that could destroy those kinds of bank roofs in its lifetime is severe winds.

I think you underestimate the power of cars. If I put my leg between a brick wall and a car traveling at 15 mph it would hurt bad. It could potentially break bones.

How fast do you think this douche was traveling ??

The only legit argument the driver would have is if the roof didn't have any height warning signs.

edit: oh and earthquakes... sorry, I live in the midwest
