Obviously this guy isn't a healer, he's a physical therapist who happens to be well read with a yoga background. But my mom thinks he has some supernatural, god given power because she is ultra-religious.
Anyway, my thirteen year old sister has been suffering from terrible headaches since november and she's been on over a dozen medications since then, even getting MRI's, CAT Scans, gone to a Chiropractor, et cetera, to no avail. She had an appointment to see a neurologist on Feb 10th.
So when she talked to me about taking her to see a healer up in Canada last Saturday, I was very much against it because I thought it would be some type of non-sensical religious rubbish where some guy in a robe with crosses draped around his neck was gonna offer up some useless prayers.
And yet, it turned out to be quite the opposite. Like I mentioned, he's a physical therapist and looked like a normal guy. I was, however, very impressed at his confidence that he could fix her problem and even more impressed at how fast he was able to diagnose and fix the problem. He rubbed the back of her neck and something popped. Then he asked my mother if she had undergone any type of procedure where her head had been arched back at an irregular angle.
My mother told him that yes, she had seen the orthodontist in October and when they were snapping her braces back, it gave them some trouble and they really had to push hard and her head snapped back because she hadn't expected it.
He said, okay, perfect. She'll feel dizzy for a few hours and the headaches should be gone in two days.
2 days ago was yesterday. Her headaches are gone. I tried explaining to my mother that if my sister had seen a physical therapist here, they would have likely came to the same conclusion, but she's convinced that he's a healer with special powers. Either way, I'm so glad that my sister is doing better. My family was really fucked up over this the past few months.
