It's not actually Diwali until tomorrow (Saturday) but I thought I'd get a head start and wish you all Happy Diwali early. Prez Obama feels the same.

He needs to start memorizing his speeches so they seem more real. I'm tired of following his eyes on the camera.

Happy Diwali to everyone that celebrates it.
Will you be doing anything for it Millz?

Just hanging with family. Some members of my family that live in different parts of the country will be descending upon my family HQ in Birmingham.

They brought in sweets to the office to celebrate this occasion. But most are made with dairy so I can't have any :(

Happy Diwali to all who celebrate!!

I just did a quick research on what diwali is and why you guys celebrate it.

Im kind of surprised that you celebrate this since you are atheist as fuck :p

Almost all holidays are religiously based. Christmas, Easter etc. I celebrate those.

Also, Eastern religions tend to be deeper on a philosophical level than the monotheist religion. A festival about inner personal peace is more interesting than the celebration of someone's birth imo.

Yeah, but Casey is like super duper atheistic.

Which means he should avoid everything thats even loosely related to religion. Get it?

Diwali is more about spirituality and philosophy, which is quite different from religion.

Either way, never knew about this holiday (until I read up, obviously), but happy festivities.
