Fuck Entertainment Weekly

#1
This week I read an article in Entertainment Weekly that really pissed me off, because of how they disrespected Tupac. In was in an article on how certain artists, or bands, could be "great again." Earlier in the article a lot more acts were mentioned, such as: Fatboy Slim, Lauryn Hill, Radiohead, Fiona Apple, Wu-Tang Clan, and The Rolling Stones. The entire article is a load of shit, because none of these artists (with the exception of Fiona Apple) are in need of this douche bag's advice. At the very end of the article, the smallest of all the artists covered, is Tupac. After I read it I threw the entire magazine across the room in disgust.

And it states:

"2PAC Multitalented as he was, the man needs to stop releasing records, especially since he's been dead for nearly a decade. Okay, it's not his fault, but then again, he shouldn't have left behind so many rhymes. It's time for the 2Pac boxed set - and then nothing more."

We, as Tupac fans, should make them pay for this blatant disrespect of a man that means so much to so many people. He wanted his message to go on for years and years, not silenced before we had to hear everything.

Send letters to them via email at: ew_letters@ew.com

People need to send them letters about this, because there are still millions of people that respect and adore this man. As Tupac fans we need to stand up for him, since obviously he doesn't have the opportunity to.

Make them pay for this!

Stand up against what? You know Amaru will continue to make money as long as they can.

^ ok Elvis, let that guy rest in peace. Elvis (alive theories) sightings and all that, similar.

The magazine says "just release the box set and get it over with"

Isnt that what some fans been asking? Just a box set of OG and be done with?

STFU Saltynuts, it's obvious that you aren't a true Pac fan and you share the feelings of EW. If you aren't supporting this, then just take a step back and be quiet.

Honestly, I would not mind a box set of as is original records; no touch ups aside from mixing, clearing up vocals, and any other minor technical questions. Obviously Interscope is not interested in showcasing Pac as an artist; past album sales, they cannot make any additional revenues off of him.

Give me the box set, I'll gladly spend 100-150 for the remaining, original recordings and would never get to hear songs on the radio, see a video, or seek any promotion. I think it would be a better way to handle it in some aspects.

Then every few years they can release a best of Pac during 199X, to satisfy those who like Pac but do not want the complete set.

tell me what I'm supposed to support? Am I supposed to sit here and piss in my pants like you because somebody at some magazine may not share the same belief as me?

Do you want to know what disrespecting is to me?

Calling Tupac's mother a crack whore.

Posting Private letters.

Posting the autopsy pictrure (dont want hear the "its fake" bullshit)

Here's another one, how many of you have downloaded a Pac cd and have the mp3 sitting in ur computer without buying it?

^^ all that happens right here.

How many more songs do they need to release until we finally get his message?

How much money was made on behalf of Tupac's death? How many of you have supported this exploitation?

Dont come at me with some bullshit magazine quote and try to start some kind a revolution.. telling me to stand up agaist it. go donate some money for the tsunami fund, go give gifts to the kids of in the hood. Go stand up against something like that, ur favorite rapper would have loved that more.

good day.

The fact is, they are making light of a dead man which can be taken as offensive. Obviously being on a 2Pac forum we are bound to be slightly biased as to whether this was offensive - complain at will.

About the box set, I would think that they're not talking an originals box set as the writer probably isn't that interested in the artist he/she's taking the piss out of to know that there are many issues surrounding the release of 2Pac's music other than that of how much of it is still to be released.

well i don't want them to fucking stop releasing music..........i wanna hear what's left in tha vault..........tha shit no one has ever heard.........would be cool to see a box set of every original song made by 2pac.......probaly would be about 50 cds

Let me say, do I agree with the authors choice of words; hell no! I have been a Pac fan for over a decade. I have heard and read it all when it came to people's opinion on him. It does not bother me any more. I think the main reason is no one can tell Pac's story but Pac; he was the only one there for the whole thing. Anyone's comment on him, aside from his family and friends is irrelevant.

But, I still rather have the box set. :D

This is best I can do with the money I have, which is next to nothing. Believe me if I had the money to change the world I would, but for right now I don't. Voicing your opinion is a cherished right in this world, and I'm exercising that to the fullest. Why can't I stand up for a man that I respect so dearly? You gave me a good idea with that Tsunami thing though, I was seriously considering donating.
