Forum back up, major overhaul soon

I took the forum down today to test the back up and reinstall procedure in case of a major mishap when upgrading to vBulletin 4 which is what I will be doing soon.

We hit a couple hickups because the database is so huge, but I know what they are and can avoid them when the real upgrade is done.

vBulletin 4 is a whole new beast and the forum will be redesigned from the ground up. So when it first goes up, it may look a little bland and boring, but Id rather have it up, add the arcade and integrate it with wordpress, make sure it is all running smoothly, and THEN work on a layout for it so if any problems pop up I know they are caused by the layout.

Some posts and PMs will have been lost, the database backs up onto the server, over a gigs worth, I then have to download it, and upload it, and in that time whatever was posted has gone the way of the dodo.

Anyway, look forward to the new forum, it's going to be really cool. And if anyone has any advice let me know below.

Also, Id like to take the time to please ask and remind you to post comments on the news when you can, makes us look good.
