My comment was not about the overall community of facebook, just mine. I'm sure it'll still be big in a few years but it just gets less important after school since real life is a whore

Well, then there's still the new generation of kids that graduate high school every year. Our activity might die down after a while, but that shouldn't lead to an overall decline in Facebook.
and it hasn't led to an overall decline in Facebook, but maybe in your community of added friends. Also, certain privacy features that exist now that didn't before enable users to pretty much remain invisible by shutting off all notifications and such. But, I agree that as the years go on while in college, facebook usage decreases. I still log on as often as I did back freshman year, but I don't "do" much on it as I did back then. Also, I don't add every person I meet like I did freshman year. Now, it's like, if somebody doesn't add me, I don't care. Also, I don't message people from freshman year and say shit like "hey, what up, long time no see" because frankly, I don't care for them.

i have sent you messages on facebook ... you didnt reply to :(
Did I? I don't remember.

I like facebook. Everybody I know almost uses it. It's a great way to keep in touch. But people shouldn't forget that phones still exist. I don't pay my plan every month for it not to be used you know

I am about to eclipse the 1500 text and pix mark on my phone bill for this month. Granted, Verizon charges for sent and received, but still.. I gotta make it until the 7th with 300 texts. Time to get real Jewish on my texts.

the thing about facebook is that because a lot of your information becomes public amongst your friends, some people go on adding frenzies to either have a peep at your photos, see who you're friends with, and to generally spy on who is speaking to you, and who you're speaking to.

other people go on adding frenzies to bump up their friends count to make themselves look popular. this girl i used to go to school with once added me. i thought id be nice and do the whole "hey, whats up, how you been these past few years?". in response i get "good, and you?"

i didnt reply. i deleted her straight away. clearly she really didnt give a fuck (though neither did i to be honest), and i was just wondering why the bitch added me in the first place. then i have others adding me who i either met once, or know through someone else (but very vaguely).

^That's very stupid that they charge for received.
Yeah, Verizon's a buncha faggots. I dunno why I switched from US Cellular to them. USC had free incoming calls and texts. Verizon's phones aren't even good, not to mention they've all been castrated to Verizon's liking. Damn, I shouldn't have changed.

I kinda fall into the first group. I guess I am kind of a creep, but with people I know and haven't just vaguely met. I don't accept requests from people I haven't talk to multiple times and as for high school friends, I add those that I had classes with and made my presence known with them. It's slightly Facebook whorish, but it's nothing compared to others that I know. Most of my friends are in the 700+ area, most of them coming through college. I only have about 60 friends from college, which is where most of the free-adding actually happens. Weird.

That sucks. I heart you. Seriously I do.

They do that here in Canada as well. All the cell companies do it... Now they have new plans with "unlimited incoming text messages". As if you control who texts you... Ridiculous. Thank god I have unlimited text messages. Anyways I wouldn't be able to live with limited text messages.. I'd always go over..

And as for facebook. I add mostly people I've known in real life. I have a few SH people but usually I ignore if I don't know the person. I have 500+ so I am a bit of a facebook whore.

Maybe the meaning of phone is evolving from talking to people to communicating in any way, shape, or form with people. Phones have text, video, picture, internet, email and then the old-fashioned talking.

I still have a few friends requests just sitting there. It's funny how people add you and NEVER talk to you.
Maybe considered that they are shy and hoping you would talk to them first? Always with the negativity, thuggy. You know the people love you. Just accept it.
