EMT workers allow a pregnant woman to die because they were "on break"

Brag about their job, which is being a fireman?
And there are girls who would fall for that?
I don't know but here it's not a classy job to have.

Classy? Who cares, it's heroic. If i were gay ("what do you mean if", yeah I beat you to your corny joke, fuck you for going so lame) , i'ld kill for a hunky fireman.

And yes, in this large world of ours, I'm sure there are a decent few out of the 3 billion women who consider being a firefighter a plus.

I know it's half jokes but come to think of it seriously, with all respect to physical workers - it's just that guys who work as firemen, policemen, construction site worker etc. are the kind I'd rather see getting laughed at. With pointing fingers and such.
I'm aware of these stories about plumbers, car mechanics, milkmen and such getting laid but I always thought that they are made up to build some confidence in them - that even though their jobs are well below most girls' ambitions they still can get some. So I thought that these "plumber doing a random big-titted chick" porn movies originated from stories for people who also do casual physical work so they could somehow relate. So they would think - "damn, I still have a chance to tap that fine ass next door".
I'm also aware that some girls during some period of their lives dream about relationships with a soldier. I guess it's more of a primitive instinct though.
I doubt that gay people in reality dream about firemen or pizza delivery guys more than casual white-collar workers.

Firemen and cops are respected in the US overall. Cops aren't in some low income areas lol but overall, the occupations are respected and appreciated. There's nothing about a fireman that warrants ridicule except the pole thing. I understand how in a post-communist country, the sentiment is not the same.

Also, you're not taking into account the athletic and physical aspect of the occupations. You have to be in pretty good shape to be a fireman hence where the attraction comes in.

The point about a fireman is that they go into burning and collapsing buildings to save lives, dickwad. How could you even compare a fireman to a car mechanic? A car mechanic doesn't risk his life to replace a manifold.

I hate to bring up 9/11 but over 300 firemen died that day. Fuck you for even saying they're just "physical workers".

You're generally allright, man, but you sometimes come up with this fucking wild generalizations that just make my pants drop at the smell of your baffling ignorance.

Yeah I agree, a huge generalization, IGNORANCE!!!1 especially if you bring up the WTC or other tragedies that imo have really raised their prestige but I tried to make a point that didn't even concern firemen specifically. On the other hand that's pretty much how I think they are perceived here - a fireman = a plain, dirty redneck that will save your shed from burning down after probably starting that fire in the first place because otherwise he'd have nothing to do. That's a stereotype as strong as black people stealing bikes or russians drinking a lot since it's not a rare sight.
But the point is - if a group of people doesn't really have an interesting opinion on them why would someone be specifically interested in them for that reason? And I thought that firemen weren't really well respected, that's how they ended up in the very same group.
First I made a comment regarding them and then I pretty much placed them all in the same "low prestige jobs" category rather than a "casual physical worker" one to bring up that porn movie/story motive from my previous post.
Sofi had a point with physical aspect which could potentially work for firemen or construction site workers but it doesn't really work for pizza delivery boys, milkmen, store clerks, plumbers and many other specific laborers whose jobs don't really come in pair with physical fitness yet are really popular in porn movies.
That's how I came up with my theory that they're there so more "low prestige workers" could relate rather than these occupations really being pussy magnets (and if they are that's probably because of these movies).

I think a point about porn story lines is a point not worth making and I want to apologize if I was participating in that retarded point you were making lol.

My point was that while in Poland, firemen aren't respected, in the US they are and the occupation is competitive. I understand that they are perceived different but I don't quite understand WHY they would be perceived as such in Poland.

I also laid out some of the reasons why they might be perceived as attractive. If you think it's because of porn movies, I'm not going to waste my time arguing that. Also, there's not much to do as far my point goes if the perception of firemen is different between the two countries. I guess in the end you know how it is over here and I know how it is over there.

yeah I guess there was a misunderstanding.
I said that I agree with the point about firemen, that they're physically attractive, somewhat considered as "heroes" and then started a rant about pizza guys and such as far as the porn context goes lol

Firemen are perceived way worse here because people don't see them doing any heroic work like in the US with all these tragedies and such.
Nobody really portraits them as heroes. Their salary is far from average and actually most of them are uneducated, coming from smaller towns etc. I just somehow can't picture a logically thinking person here saying how he wants to be a fireman. It's like saying "I want to sell cheeseburgers for a living". You really need a passion or lack of better perspectives to think that way.

Actually lmao at the offtopic.

First, the porn thing is totally fake. No woman in the US fantasizes about mechanics or plumbers much, or being married to one. And milkmen don't even exist here anymore. (Soymen) But firemen are well respected, decent acting, very well paid, usually muscular and handsome, and seen as a good catch by many women. Watch Backdraft or Ladder 49.

Humanity is never going to progress until we're able to show sympathy for one another. I don't care what science does or throws at us technologically speaking. When we choose to ignore a pregnant woman in our western society, where we place an emphasis on a human life, because of a 'break' ... That's regression.
Progress is going to come through having babies in test tubes.

This incident is really simple. Those EMT people left their gloves in the car and they assumed the lady had AIDS because she was black.

Sad, sad story.

The latest on this, according to their lawyer, is that the two never saw the woman and were never told the extent of her condition. She was in the back of the restaurant having asthma symptoms and abdominal pains. An employee asked them to call their dispatcher for an ambulance, which they did. They were never asked to examine her. There was no sense of panic, they say, and no one was angry with them for not helping. They didn't walk over her or past her on the floor on their way out saying, "call 911."

"Protocol, training and regulations" also kept them from intervening further because they didn't have any equipment or medications and worked as dispatchers rather than in the field.

All this sounds plausible and likely. Still, why didn't they go check her out? Dispatchers or not, they've all been trained and capable of getting involved in emergency situations. So, while they're not the callous monsters we assumed them to be (if what their lawyer says is true), they still have some responsibility here.

This is true. A co-worker of mine and her friends would seriously plan weddings and fantasize about hooking up with guys from the local fire dept. We have random parties at work.. she would invite members of the fire dept and her friends and they'd sit around and coo over the guys.

Of course not all females think like this. I'm not excited about firemen.. but there are a good number of women who are into firemen.

I think here you could be charged if you don't help someone who is ill or in danger. That is regardless of your occupation. That means calling 911 and following the procedures told on the phone in most cases.

In their case they did what was asked of them. We'd expect more but they didn't have to.

I had EMT workers at my work today b/c one guest fainted.

One of the guys kept checking out one of my co-workers while the other 3-4 EMT's were doing all the work.

SMH.

There weren't any fireman around when MJ's scalp got set on fire and gave him third degree burns to his scalp during the pepsi advert, starting an addiction to painkillers that ultimately killed him.

therefore fuck firemen
