congrats tho! fuck i can't wait to have my driver license.
thank you carmi and good luck. dont stress yourself over it because the driving instructors are more harsh than the examiners. stay positive, best advice i can give ya - certainly worked for me. all the best :)

cooper - yep, passed first time.

thank you all. :)

I passed but barely.

The dude was a prick. Apparently, I was speeding like 10mph over the limit. lol

Not my fault, i was training in a Taurus, but when it came time to take my test, i could only use a high powered mustang.

Anyway, congrats Sandeep.

I was going to wish u luck and saw u already took it. hahaha

Congratualtions SanDeep ive been driving now for the past 5 years. it is a thrill of joy when they tell you that you passed.

for the longest time i was taking my test in Toledo and all i had were women instructors and they were fucking pricks. finally in 2004 i went down to a small town south of Toledo (Bowling Green) and i wound up getting a Man Instructor and he worked with me and told me to Relax. and in the end i passed.

best of luck with getting a car and please please be careful and dont go speeding. with your luck a cop will pull you over and give a ticket. *those suck*. i got a ticket for $120 dollars for doing a 48 in a 35 mph zone.

i know!! sensational feeling!

havent got a car yet, but i am gonna keep a look out. im hoping to get an audi A3, preferably in black or grey/silver.
The 2nd best feeling is when the R plates come down, then u feel like nobody is watching u anymore.

Take ur time when getting ur car. I literally wouldve went down to the dealer and took the first deal they offered cos I knew fuck all about buying a car. My dad helped out and kept telling me to keep looking, I was like Jesus I just passed and I want a damn car.

But about a month or so after I saw the perfect car, I wanted a brand new one but this was a 1 year old Fiesta, it was an ex demo car and had well under 7000 miles on it, it was £7000, but my dad has bought his last few cars from the same woman and she got it knocked down to under £6500.

And dont buy their its only this price for a limited time lol. Once one "sale" ends the same one under a new name begins straight after. Its like DFS for fuck sake, the sofa was never £999, like Michael Mcintyre says "Sale ends Sunday, Starts Monday"

lol yea. dfs always have neverending sales on. im gonna take my time on buying a car, preferably the A3 though. im going to take my pass plus lessons after may (exams), so that i can get cheaper insurance.

and it doesnt bother me waiting to get a car because ive got my bus and tram pass which i need to make use of before it runs out this month. and getting the bus to work once ive finished uni for this year only takes about 20-30mins max. - which would only be aturday and sunday; so i wouldnt need to drive around alot as i wont really be needing the transport.

maybe next year i can drive to university on some days, just to maintain some practice.

my driving test examiner was cool, even took off his high visibility jacket during the test, the only thing i could do, at the end of the test when he told me i passed, was to breath deeply and try to relax as the whole situation was so tense, i got four minor faults on my test overall, in other words i passed with flying colours, despite taking a corner in fourth gear and trying to set off from the test centre without the car even being in gear. i passed both my driving tests first time and bought a car the same week after i passed the practical, a good friend influenced me to book my practical test as soon as i had passed the theory, this move paid off and am greatful with her advice, and bought my own car within a week of passing the practical test. i had a great driving instructor, i had double lessons every week too, 2 hours driving once a week from july to november cost me a lot, was worth it though. to top it off, i continued taking double driving lessons without a job, at one point my job seekers benefit was stopped, so i was unemployed and learning to drive without a job or any kind of income, didnt stop me though
