Do you have a picture of your partner as your pic on your social networking profile?

Is your fella or missus on your profile pic with you on FB or whatever, and vice versa?

Because that screams insecure to me. Or am I wrong?

Nope, he's not, there are only maybe 3 or 4 pics of us together on my FB account.

Yup, for the most part I agree with you about the insecure thing.

i would think that some people would be insecure by putting up pictures of their other half because other people can look at them and contact them etc... maybe it depends on the person and their surroundings such as friends, partner, themself and collective experiences from the past etc...

That's just waaaaay too "pussy."

The only photo Ive ever had of my girlfriend on my Facebook is when we're together out in public with a bunch of people.

I don't even have a relationship status updated yet. hahaha
But I'm sure we will get one, up but not because I am insecure, but because I went out doing something.
I like to keep my most current pic up, and if it's both of us, then I let it be.

There are people I know that don't even have one photo of just themselves. It's like wtf?

One example of the weirdest shit I've seen is, one of my friends ended up 'sharing' their FB with their significant other, after she got preggo, then shortly after, Married.... and it's just too weird and insecure, and I no longer talk to that person because I don't even know who I'm talking to anymore, and I was friends with both.

Nope, on none of mine networking groups (when I had them). I don't see the point. I might be in a couple group pictures of hers, else from that. Nada. I agree also.

hmm i duno.. it's not as black and white as "if you have a pic up of the both of you, you're automatically insecure". i think if there's an excessive amount of photos, then maybe, but if you have one here and there, then not so much.

anyway, where does the link come from?

^^ exactly. alternatively, im gathering that some people here purposely avoid uploading couple-y photos in fear of being seen as 'insecure'. that in itself is insecure.

^Yup. I don't have a camera so all my photos come from other people. I don't know how its like for you guys, but when I go out with a group of girls at least one is snapping pictures all night and by the next night they are on facebook.

I know a couple who does that too! It's "Vince and Angie's FB" lol. Who knew other people were doing this?

I don't really see how a social networking site is going to be the difference between having insecurities or peace of mind. whether its to do with photos or relationship status, your partner can still be (un)faithful to you and other people can still 'try it on' with your partner online or in real life. the social network thing i see as warning other off, by text or visual images, not verbally. but still cant change insecurity.
